1:14:26 PMToday was pretty cool... they actually made us go to the classes and not just stay in homeroom all day, and since it's a half day, all the communties get out at the same time, so I got to stalk *coughcough*... in homeroom, I asked Mr. Harris whether he found out his blood type yet, and he said he'd go look after or during 4th period... in Mr. Guigno's room, everyone had written on the board, and his nickname is Daddy (Mrs. Whitney made it up; she says they're like divorced parents with shared custody, getting all of us for half the year. She's Mommy and he's Daddy... yeah.), and someone (or a few people, I have no idea), had written "Daddy" in huge letters on the board... so James wrote "Who's yo" in front of one of them. 'Twas quite amoosing. Then Becca wrote, "Luke, Mr. G is your father." Before cycle, I went to Omega, and they were changing classes too, so I got to talk to *coughcough*, and I was a couple minutes late for Life Skills, but no one even noticed when I walked in... it must be the big, brightly colored towel I was wearing. During French, we decided to take a walk again and hung out by Madame's office, so I kept walking past *coughcough*'s room and looking in, since she didn't mind if we took short walks. Also, over the course of the day, Jakelyn kept giving me his yearbook and telling me to sign it, so I think I've now signed it a total of five times. In gym, we just sat in the bleachers, and they didn't even have a pretense of making us do anything, which was fun. We then went back to homeroom for a few minutes, and Jakelyn came in, and I was talking to *coughcough* in the hall again... and then Mr. Harris noticed Jakelyn was there and told him to go to class. I also asked Mr. Harris if he had found out his blood type yet (it was seventh period at this point), and he still hadn't. They then decided to have our community go outside, so we were in the inner courtyard thing... so I asked Mr. Harris where his car was. He then told me he would go and find out his blood type right then. He was gone for quite awhile... i think he was slightly afraid of me, haha. Then he finally came back... and his blood type is... B POSITIVE! My mission in life is now complete. The wood chips on the ground were also really wet, so I was jumping up and down on them and saying, "Squishy!" Chris was also sitting there, talking to Lane, and was looking at me funny... I then walked up to him and repeated how squishy they were. He said, "How the f*ck did you get closer?" so I backed away... it's rather amoosing, though: I think he's seriously afraid of me. After that, Becca and I decided to sit in the middle of the courtyard where no one else was sitting, and sit on my towel. 'Twas cool... see, TOWELS ARE USEFUL! Anyway... we went to eighth period for about fifteen minutes after that, and that was the end of the day. I tried to stay back in the hall so I could see everyone, but I didn't see Stine, Laura, or anyone from Sigma for that matter... I walked out with *coughcough* and he sat with me on the bus... I thought my seat would be empty, since neither of the sevvies I sit with sat there this morning... and then they both came on and gave me these weird looks. Come on, it's the last bleeping day of school! I can't even sit with my husband? One of them sat across the aisle where there was an empty seat, and one of them sat with us. Not really a big deal, and it also meant I got to sit closer to *coughcough*. Whee! I want to make the Anti-Peep shirts, but Mom's printer, which is the borderless one, has practically no color ink, so Jakelyn has to resize the image for me before I can print them. However, I have printed out the logos for the fronts of the shirts, so I suppose I can iron those on and then wait for him to do the backs. I also gave Ling back the Mahallah... since it's the last day of school, and I was up to Mostly Harmless, which I have a paperback copy of that I can finish, anyway. I WANT TO READ OOTP SO BADLY! Graduation is at 4.00, and we have to get there at 3... I have no idea what I'm wearing, since I brought a lot of my nice clothes to camp to wear on Shabbat. Not really clever of me... And this is it. [Currently listening | Our Lady Peace - Not Enough]
11:02:08 PMWell, graduation was interesting... there were these kids throwing around beach balls randomly, and Mr. O'Hara got a little mad... it was pretty much uninteresting, though.... except for the fact that I was wearing the dress that I wore to the sixth grade dance, Stine was wearing the shirt that she had worn to the sixth grade dance, and *coughcough* was wearing the shirt that he had worn to the sixth grade dance... this was not planned. It was really freaky. Afterwards, though, was interesting... we all wanted to go get Kosher pizza, and decided we'd call each other. *Coughcough* called before I even got home, so I called him back... aand we decided I'd just give him a ride, so he came over then. We called Stine and Laura, but they weren't home yet... so I left them messages telling them to call me and we went. Stine called as we were in the car, so we picked her up, and then Laura called as we got there, and mom wouldn't turn around and get her then, so she couldn't come. Wahwah. We got a cheese pizza pi(e)... yoomy. Mom was being weird and ordered one slice with pineapple... so I had to eat it. It's really not that bad, actually... but yeah. Afterwards, Stine's mom came to pick her up, so we all tried to hide from her by sitting at the edge of the highway and just running around the parking lot chained together with our towels... 'twas funfun. We also were thinking of how to get kicked out of camp... I'm going to bring my cell phone illegally and have them call me... maybe. I don't know if I'd have the courage to do it, but we'll see. We also hid from the cars driving by by holding up our towels in front of us, and *coughcough* kind of held one of my fingers with his hands... mmm. We kidnapped Stine by bringing her in the car, then locking the door, but her mom made her leave. Wahwah. However, *coughcough* still came over for a little while, so we watched some random videos (SOAD and Tool), and he helped me cut out the Anti-Peep logos... I'll have to finish then in August. AUGUST! I hope I don't cry. I've cried enough. I don't deserve to cry, my lot isn't really that bad. I'm just going to miss everyone so much. You guys all know how much you mean to me, and you know who you are. Even if you don't read this blog, or know it even exists, know that I care for you and I'm really thankful for you being there for me, and know that I've tried to be there for you when I could. We've had our times of fun, laughter, and also of shared grief. I hope our ties of friendship can stay strong over distances, whether geopraphical or just noncolliding schedules. Please, please write me letters. I want to have some way to avoid my MedSci homework and to avoid having to be social... Address: 146 Red Hill Road Ottsville, PA 18942 Write "Bonim" next to my name, that's my bunk. I need to finish some last minute packing, and I also need to sleep. I'll be back August 10th, and I'm leaving my computer on to see how long it takes to freeze. Fare thee well. I'll miss you all. [Currently listening | Deftones - Change]
22 June 2003 6:52:01 AMBah. posting entries about things a day later annoys me. Oh, well. So I tried getting the mail yesterday at about 3.45, and it was there, but NO Order of the Phoenix! I was rather annoyed/upset-ful... and then when we were actually leaving for the picnic at about 4.15 (my family has this tendency of running really late), my sister decided to randomly look in the mailbox, and IT WAS THERE!!!!! I started reading in the car. It came in this awesome box from Amazon, it was a special OotP box, and it said "DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DELIVER BEFORE JUNE 21". I saved it, since 'tis rather amoosing. The picnic wasn't bad. There were random people there I knew, and I met this British family... they have cool accents. Anyway... we went to Staples to pick up more transfer paper, then Mom took me to Target to get me a waterbottle, and then Stine came over, wheeee! We did random stuff... she watched the videos from school on Friday, we started (another) shrine to the gingerbread man... we're going to take awhile to finish this thing. We also randomly called *coughcough* because she told me we must get married in Disneyland, and I told her she needed to tell him that, so we called him... and I don't think we actually ended up telling him that. Puahaha. After she left (around 11ish), I started to get to work... cutting tags off my clothes, last-minute labeling... we finshed packing around 12.30. We're supposed to leave at about 7... and then it's off to the party at Lane's, whee! It was supposed to be a pool party, but the rain might kinda mess that up... Ooh, and randomness... Stine told me that when she was at the mall on Friday, she told *coughcough* that she'd be hanging out with me, and he said, "Lucky." And several people also told me that Jake left early to go to the movies... so I think he might have really been stalking us. Errr... whee. Oh, and Ling finished OotP and is attempting to give me spoilers, but I want to finish it first! And I need to finish the Mahallah before that! I only have about 150 pages left, now... hopefully I can read a lot in the car. Ling stayed up all night... and is talking to me now. 'Tis wheefun-ish. Conversations starting at 5.45 AM aren't particularly intelligent... but we're rather insane, so it's okay. [Currently stuck in head | Incubus - When It Comes]
7:32:05 PMI'm having a little trouble breathing. [Currently stuck in head | Incubus - New Skin]
8:47:25 PMOkay, I've calmed down... slightly. Unfortunately, I'm going to be sane and start from the beginning of today. We drove down to camp, which took about two hours, and I wrote Stine a really long entry in her yearbook... 'twas rather enjoyable. We got to the camp... it doesn't sound horribly bad, and I can always just turn up my headphones and tune out the world. The people in my bunk don't seem the type who are really sports-ish, so that's good. I got a top bunk, which kind of sucks, but I'll live. The girl who is on the bed below mine, however, is very cool. Her name is Jenna, and she plays electric guitar, annnnnd.... likes Incubus! Instant respect. Seriously, though, she's a really nice person, and showed me around and stuff. The other people in the bunk seem slightly jappy, but not horrible, and they were listening to Sublime, so they can't be all that bad. I also had to tell my counselor what I was signing up for, in clubs and work and stuff, since I'll be missing whenever they sign up for that. They have this club that sounds awesome - it's called Survival, and they teach you how to survive situations with just a towel and a piece of rope! TOWELS! That made me really happy. They've also got chess, reading, arts and crafts, and such. Mom said she'd pick me up after lunch, which started at 1.30. She assumed it would last an hour (I have no idea why), so said she'd be back at 2.30. Lunch ended at 2, so I was just randomly hanging around, then at around 2.30, I started walking towards the parking lot, but slowly, so I wouldn't be just waiting there, since she has a habit of being slightly late... and I was sitting there, waiting. The counselors there were really nice, though, and let me talk with them and such, One of them makes cheese! It was awesome, he said all you do is warm up some whole milk to 170 degrees, then squeeze in lemon juice and strain it through a cheesecloth, and you get... spreadable cheese! Yeah. Mom got there at 3. She started driving back, and I fell asleep in the car, which isn't surprising, since on all car rides of moderate lengths, I tend to fall asleep, and I also got about 4.5 hours of sleep last night... so she wakes me up and informs me that she got off the turnpike before our exit. She then asks me to tell her where we are and which route to take home... luckily, there's a map in the car, and I got us home... or, rather, to Lane's house. I missed sooooo much stuff at the party. It sounds like it was awesome, though. I'm kind of glad I missed it, though, since they were throwing people in the pool... with their clothes on. Unfun. The place was a complete disaster area. They broke the gate to the pool, and the hammock, also... but *coughcough* was there, whee! Jackie started attacking him (he kind of pushed her in the pool), so I was on his side... 'twas enjoyable. We also went on the trampoline and were randomly jumping up and down... Jakelyn and some other people then decided to have us get married. Right then and there. They made me a ring out of caution tape, I had a towel as a veil... so they had this whole ceremony-ish thing (complete with Lane as flower girl throwing grass at us all), and then they wanted us to kiss. With everyone staring at us. We were kind of... um... no. (Though when they told him to kiss my hand, he did that). They then asked us if we needed privacy (the whole yichud thing...), so they put us in the shed. However, the shed had large holes instead of doorknobs... and Laura had a camera. We therfore stuck our plams in front of the holes so they would wonder what was happening (and she was still taking pictures through the crack between the doors)... and Jake spit on our hands. That was a lot of spit. I felt soooo unclean... (though I washed my hands later, obviously). We didn't do anything... we're not really the type... but whenever they managed to open the door, we'd pull it closed again, since it's fun, and we got the idea to put a towel in front of the holes instead of our hands... see, towels are useful! Yeah... we eventually decided to sneak out and go somewhere without people accusing us of philandering... Other stuff happened, people started leaving one-by-one since it was almost time to go... and Jakelyn really, really, wanted us to osculate. He stole *coughcough*'s hat and held it over the pool as a threat... so I was kind of staring at it... I didn't want to seem forward and ask him to attack me or something... so I must have appeared kind of reluctant. Lane told me that he thought I didn't want him to kiss (wow, I accidentally wrote "attack" there...) me, so he was stalling because of that... but I thought he was being shy or didn't really want to or something. Lane said he wanted to, though. I was afraid to look at him... However, it was a pretty good opportunity, because all the people who were staring at us before weren't staring, since they hadn't come to the pool and were just sitting on lawn chairs. I'm not sure if the situation of stealing his hat happened once or twice (I'm, uh, rather fuzzy on details...), but eventually... He kissed me. On the cheek, pretty quickly. I can still feel it... I'm practically still shivering... Just... wow. I've been kissed. You really, really, wouldn't think that I'm the person who would "suck face" (as Lane so eloquently told us to do). I'm shy, ugly, slightly overweight... I'm not the type of person who you'd think would be doing this at fourteen. I just... I have no words to describe this. He wanted to come over afterwards, but his parents won't let him out of the house again today... poo. He, however, called and we talked for 22 minutes and 47 seconds, and that's pretty good for someone who doesn't like phones. He's also trying to memorize my phone number, and he's really bad at that. I feel so bleeping special right now. The high will wear off on Tuesday, but I'm savoring tomorrow. The last day of school. Why does it have to end now? [Currently listening | SOiL - Unreal]
21 June 2003 3:32:51 PM*Paces* I want my copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix! I needses it, precioussssss! (Okay I'm mixing my series [what's the plural of series?] up here...). Becca's came at 9.30 this morning, and her family has 45-minute rotation periods so they can read it... and... augh! She's already on page 232 after two rotations. I got impatient-ish, so I asked Mom to go look at the package tracking on Amazon... so it said it was coming on Wednesday, which is really inconvenient. Then she looked at the tracking through the USPS... and apparently it arrived in the post office at 6.21 this morning! I WANT IT! The eeeeeeeevil mail doesn't come until around 4, and I'm leaving for the MedSci picnic around 3.30... so... *screams* [Currently listening | Sum 41 - The Hell Song]
20 June 2003 6:21:00 AMI'm sooooo looking forward to the next several days. Today, we've got graduation practice, which is always fun, and then Mom is letting me see a movie with *coughcough*, wheee! I think we're seeing Finding Nemo because of the 42 references. She's also taking me shopping as soon as I get home from school/eat lunch. Blah. Everyone else is going malling tonight, so I'm going to ask her if maybe after dinner I can join them, and grab a ride home with someone... Tomorrow should also be quite enjoyable. Stine and I are doing... something. We should make the shrine to the gingerbread man, or... uh... anything, really. Also, tomorrow afternoon is the MedSci picnic, so I get to frolic around Turkey Swamp... Sunday Mom's taking me to drop my stuff off at camp, which will not be fun, but when I get back, there's a party at Lane's house, which I am still very upset at missing the beginning of, but hopefully I can at least be there for some of it. Monday is the last day of school. Then graduation. Then *coughcough*, Stine, Laura, perhaps a few other people, and I are going out for Kosher pizza, squee! Tuesday will be upsetting. I'm leaving for camp. I don't even want to think about it so I won't mess up the happiness of the next few days... I really want to make the most out of this, and be happy with what I have. [Currently stuck in head | Audiovent - Sweet Frustration]
21 June 2003 2:05:05 AMWheeee... today (err... yesterday) was awesomeful! I shall start from the beginning... in the morning, we had graduation practice... and I was wearing my Hogwarts skirt and a SOAD shirt, and my grey wool-ish kneesocks (they're made of angora, so are rabbit, not sheep). Some random kid on the line behind me said, "I like your socks." I kind of thanked him and kept walking... and then, when we were almost up to the gym, I got up to Mr. Harris (they had random teachers patrolling the hallways), and he said to me, "I like your shirt." We then started dicussing SOAD... Steal This Album, their summer tour dates... it was quite hysterical. And then Mrs. Mangel came up to us, since we were having such a scintillating conversation, and she told me, "I like your socks." Mr. Harris then said, "I like her shirt." Mrs. Mangel didn't know who/what System of a Down was, so we started explaining it to her... 'twas funfun. The line started moving again, though, so I left them to their own devices... We then continued with practice... today they practiced saying our names and going up to get our diplomas. All 693 of us. It took a couple hours, to say the least... they eventually let us out, and our teachers (in Kappa, at least) kind of gave up on pretending to teach us... our homeroom was going wild. I brought Mom's digital camera to school, and I have the craziest pictures/videos... Tara claiming she's not on drugs, Gary piggyback riding on James, Priyanka sniffing the chalkboard eraser... and everyone was writing the randomest stuff on the board, which I also have pictures of. It was hysterical. I also went around with Becca and we got our yearbooks signed by our teachers, and then I randomly left the room (and Mr. Harris didn't notice/care), when Omega was switching to go to French (it was a half-day, so I couldn't be skipping lunch), so I went in the hallway and randomly talked to Jakelyn, *coughcough*, etc... and Lane and Jackie had also escaped class awhile before and were wandering the halls aimlessly. Squeee! I also was feeling really random at some point, and I went up to Mr. Harris and informed him that he never told Ling and me his blood type... and he said it was in his wallet, which was in his Jeep, so he'd tell me/us on Monday. This is quite hysterical... but puahaha. He also started explaining how you can't give blood soon after you get a tattoo, so someone who was nearby/listening in said, "You have a tattoo?" And he informed us... he has two. Err... fascinating. When I got home, Mom dragged me shopping, as promised, so I just let her buy me a few pairs of shorts and pants so she'd stop telling me to buy things... and she told me I could get to the mall at 9. *Coughcough* and I decided to see The Italian Job, which was playing at 9.40... so pretty soon after I got to the mall, we had to go... but Stine and Tara had lost Laura, Jackie, Lane, and random other people I don't know of... I hope they all got home all right.... so we were walking to the movie theater, and we just were randomly talking and crossing the road and such... and got to a parking lot... which wasn't for the movie theater. We then kind of looked around confusedly, and figured out the movie theater was waaaay to the right. We turned and attempted again... and we got to a point where we had to cross the road. A really busy road. We pretended it was a game of Frogger... except they were real cars. Seriously, though, we kind of ran across the street when it was relatively free of cars, and I held out my towel so it would stream behind me. Wheeeeee! And we got on the line to buy tickets... and he bought my ticket for me. I attempted to repay him, but he wouldn't take money.... arghhh! So... confusing... The movie actually wasn't bad. It was really funny, though, before it started, i guess some people were talking, and someone said, "It's time to shut up now." And then someone else shouted, "Shut the f*ck up!" And then the people who were getting yelled at (or perhaps some random guy... I have no idea, it was dark) shouted, "F*ck you!" Rather amoosing... When the movie ended, we went outside to wait for Mom to pick us up and take us to Barnes and Noble... and saw Jakelyn! He told us that he was stalking us... and accused us of philandering. It was hysterically funny... but I don't know whether to believe him, since he has this habit of making up random stories... but yeah. My sister actually ended up picking us up, and we went to Barnes and Noble... and it was so crowded. There were people everywhere... there were even a couple random people taking naps on the floor, and some underneath the tables where they display the books and everything... I ended up seeing a couple people I knew, including this weird girl named Rebecca who apparently gives everyone high-fives, but has never high-fived me... and she gave me a high-five. Oh, well, it was fun while it lasted. *Coughcough* also told me I need to think of ways to get out of camp, and hinted at the fact that he wants to go to the movies with me again. Squeeeeee! The second I get home from camp, I need to have a reunion or something. Tomorrow I also need to hang out with Stine... whee! I only really saw her for five or ten minutes at the mall, and she was forced to hang out with Tara... I feel bad for her. I have no idea what we plan to do, but I'll have to call her or something... La. I'm going to be going around in a daze... *coughcough*... mmm... yeah. It was kind of weird how osculate was the Word of the Day on Thursday... the day he proposed, haha. Hmmm... okay, I have to calm down... I had a very interesting/random conversation with Priyanka when I got home... Okay, my eyes are starting to unfocus... perhaps I should try to sleep. [Currently listening | System of a Down - Mr. Jack]
2:48:06 AMOkay, I lied. I am not sleeping, but am instead sitting here curled up in my chair with the towel I lent to *coughcough* wrapped around myself... and out of boredom, shall do the Friday Five... it's only a couple hours late! 1. Is your hair naturally curly, wavy, or straight? Long or short? Erm... it's curly/wavy, depending what mood it's in that day. My hair is the weirdest thing... and out of randomness, I found a grey hair today. This is weird, considering I'm fourteen... and it's happened before, too. Oh, yes, and it's insanely long... past my waist somewhere. 2. How has your hair changed over your lifetime? Um... I think it's stayed pretty much the same, except I think it might have been straighter when I was a small children. 3. How do your normally wear your hair? I usually am lazy, so just wear it in a ponytail, or down when I'm cold. However, sometimes I wear it in braided plaits randomly, and can also do weird bun-ish things when I get really bored and start experimenting. 4. If you could change your hair this minute, what would it look like? I have no idea. Perhaps I would do something to make it more... manageable? Everyone says that I have nice hair, though, so I guess I would leave it... 5. Ever had a hair disaster? What happened? Not in particular. I don't really do stuff to my hair... or if I can, it's usually easily undoable. Okay, that was completely pointless... perhaps I'll go off to attempt sleep now... [Currently listening | Guster - Demons]
19 June 2003 6:05:27 AMI can just imagine myself trying to sneak out of the house... "Hey, Mom, I'm getting the mail!" "But I already got the mail!" "I'll get it again!" *Door slams* Where are you going?" *Hear car engine rev* "Oh, great." *Coughcough* signed on to AIM and we were discussing seeing a movie... I'm so random. I need a new brain. Or it just turns to mush whenever I see him or something... I started randomly talking about cheese in the middle of the conversation... And I was talking to Mom some more about seeing a movie, and we remembered/discovered that Friday is a half day, so seeing a movie is actually more feasible. And *coughcough* said he could always kidnap me... And Mom has no problem with me doing something with Stine on Saturday, since she feels bad about her moving away... Yay! I can hang out with my friends! [Currently stuck in head | Seether - Sympathetic]
3:46:13 PMDuuuude... today rocked. We got our yearbooks in homeroom, and were randomly passing them around to get them signed... then we had graduation practice, and everyone had to sit in alphabetical order. And guess who was in the row behind me, sitting directly behind me? *Coughcough*! It was an awesome twist of fate. We talked most of the time... wheee! Practice ended around the time when we go to Life Skills, but by the time they dismissed everyone (we had to walk out in pairs), the period was over... so I walked back down the hallway and saw... Laura! I signed her yearbook while she was in the nurse's office, then went on my merry way to French. When we got to the room, and Madame finally arrived, she decided to just have us take a walk to the storage room to get rid of the textbooks, then we just walked the hallways of the school and hung out by her office. She signed my yearbook in French, so that was cool... then Sigma came by the gym to have their community picnic, and Joe and Stine tried to drag me in with them, but I told them I'd come in a few minutes, since *coughcough* was about to get out for lunch... and I had gym next period, anyway. Little Joe also came down the stairs, and he was acting fairly calm... he said hi to me, and randomly offered a hug... He asked where Lane was, but she hadn't gotten out of Spanish yet, and he had to go to his lunch. Wahwah. *Coughcough* also came out of his classroom, and he came over to talk to me, but his teacher yelled at him, so he had to go back in. Wah! I eventually went to gym, and lots of random people signed my yearbook.. and then I sneaked into Sigma's picnic. It was awesome, Stine, Joe, Alli, and Laura were there, and Lane and Ashley had also sneaked in. We were signing yearbooks and having a jolly old time... when the science teacher recognized me from the science fair and told me to go back to class. I said my farewells and went back to gym, and got my yearbook signed some more... I was feeling random enough that I went up to Chris and told him that I didn't have any friends, and would he be my friend and sign my yearbook? He actualy did... it was quite funny. After gym, I went to my locker again, and Jakelyn came up the hallway... so I asked him to sign my yearbook. He wrote hugely, and took up about two pages, and I can just barely make out the handwriting... I'll have to attempt to type it up later. *Coughcough* also came up the hall, and we signed each others' yearbooks... and in mine, he asked me to marry him! It was hysterically funny, and when I told Becca about it later, she asked if it meant we were an "item"... hmm... He didn't have to go to French, so we randomly wandered the hallways. We visited Mr. Epps, who had this old sketchbook of mine when I took an art class from him a loooong time ago. I had some, uh, great drawing skills... and he also gave me this picture he took of *coughcough* in someone's locker... he actually fit! It's quite amoosing. We then went upstairs to randomly ask Mrs. Szarka about OM, and when we came back downstairs, we saw Lane, Jackie, and Jakelyn in the hallway, talking, and skipping lunch/French... later Lane asked me what we were doing in the stairs... I was rather amoosed. I had to go into lunch, since Becca wanted me to come so we could take pictures and such, so *coughcough* decided to hang out with Lane, Jackie, and Jakelyn for a few minutes, and he promised to meet me after the lunch period ended. I went in, and we took random pictures and such... it was fairly fun, but I was longing to go back outside. After the period ended, I shoved my way back outside the room, and... didn't see him anywhere. It was very upsetting.... but then I saw Lane and Jackie in the hallway, and he said that he was talking to them but had to go somewhere or soemthing, but he told them about how he proposed to me... so I went back to class, and was doing random stuff, then I turned around... and he was in the room! He was singing random people's yearbooks, so I just went over and watched. We also received our caps and gowns... they're RED! Not bloodred, though. Wah. At dismissal, Jakelyn and everyone all came over to our lockers (*coughcough* did, too! Whee!) and they were all talking about how we were getting married... so we have to decide on a date (Jakelyn wants February 28th, Jackie wants Monday, since I'll be wearing a dress anyway, Joe wants August 2nd so I can sneak out of camp... it's funfun). I really need to go see a movie with him tomorrow. I will get my mother out of the way and shove her in a closet if necessary. Puahaha. Oh, and I also gave my yearbook to Ling for the night so she could go home and sign it... She'll probably fill up a page or two, but in normal-sized, legible handwriting. Whee! I feel really loved today... and for your viewing pleasure, some random AIM conversations from after I got home from school... Yeah, he made some interesting looking children... I wanna try some, too. [Currently listening | Foo Fighters - All My Life]
7:15:56 PMJust thinking... today was my last visitation at Dad's. I won't see him again until July or August, unless I catch a glimpse of him at graduation on Monday. And Mom saw my cap and gown... and she noticed that I only had two tickets, not three... and she didn't seem to mind. Usually, she'd be calling people to complain about it, etc. The only thing I can think of is that someone called her about it and she just doesn't want to tell me... though I don't see why she wouldn't. This horribly confooses me. On a more amoosing note, Mom said the cap/mortarboard thing made me look like a Jewish pope. Sound familiar? [Currently listening | Finch - Without You Here]
18 June 2003 6:27:16 AMIt's not quite raining now, but it's supposed to rain later, and it was raining last night... so I'm debating whether or not to bring my towel and speaker (yes only one... my CD player only has one plug to plug it in... so it'll sound kinda funny) to the community picnic today... because if we have the picnic, I'll feel bad about not having it with me, but if we don't have it, I'll feel really stoopid carrying around a speaker all day. This thing is large... another reason I only wanted to bring one. In other randomness... I remember one of my dreams slightly again, since my alarm went off in the middle of it (do you know how hard it is to waaaake uuuup?)... it involved one of those cheap dollar-store things which the Coca Cola company somehow had a grudge against and was selling poisoned Sprite. And yes, I have no idea where it came from. [Currently stuck in head | Seether - Broken]
4:02:06 PMWow, today was just... unbelieveable. Well, the day started on a not-so-great note... there was this piece of gum stuck on the side wall of the bus, right next to where I sit, but luckily I have an index card on the side of my bag, so it got stuck to that. Whee! During homeroom, they also called what seemed like half the school down to the front lobby, just to tell us that we had to come back at 1.30 to get our pictures taken... it was weird. During Language, we continued to play Jeopardy... and our team somehow won. This is only bad because it means Tara got candy... but she wasn't that bad during Social Studies. However, as I left Language, it was hysterically funny... they messed up our schedule slightly, so we got out as Sigma was leaving cycle... so this kid Nick, who was in MathCounts, came up to me and said my name wrong (I think that's how they said it on the annoucement or something)... so I just kind of said hi and continued walking. Allison then came up to me and said, "That's so cute... is he your boyfriend?" I had a really hard time not cracking up hysterically, although I took the opportunity to do that several times during the day. Then, during Social Stuies, the phone rang... Mr. Guigno talked for a few minutes, then said, "Adiya, Mrs. Whitney wants to talk to you." This made me all nervous... since Mrs. Whitney can be pretty scary sometimes. I walked the long walk upstairs like I was walking to get hung on Tower Green... so I finally get to her room... and she asks me if I want to take my project home. I took it and walked out of the room, and walked back to Social Studies in a much lighter mood. During the rest of the class, Priyanka was being insane and writing random things in big letters on looseleaf paper and holding them up for people to see... most of it was cereal slogans, but then she wrote, "You stole my tight pink spandex!" Everyone laughed at that one... and guess what we ended up talking about in Social Studies again? The sluts of the 1890s and showing your ankles! Someone's topic was on women's rights, and he showed us a picture of some suffragettes, and pointed out how they wore boots so their ankles wouldnt show. Then the girl who was presenting said something about a voting bar... and Mr. Guigno asked her to explain what a bar was. She said it was a place where people go to get drinks... so I said (quietly), "Let's go to the voting bar and get drunk!" In math, Mrs. Mangel gave out lollipops to everyone, and the girl in front of me asked me to pass one back to Mike, who sits a couple of rows behind me. I complied, and he said, "I love you, Adiya." I replied, "I hate you, too," since you all know how he's scarred me for life... so he said, "Did you just say, 'I hate you, too'?" So I said, "No, I just violently dislike you." I don't think he knows that he scarred me for life. Ha. He was hurt by my statement, though, so I told him I was kidding... On the way to Life Skills, it was awesome. We got let out as Omega was at their lockers, so I caught up to *coughcough* just when he was done at his locker and was walking across the hall to math... and I started walking next to him. He didn't notice I was there, and he got to his math room, and I kept walking (passing directly in front of him), and kept going for a few feet, then turned around to see if he had seen me... and he still hadn't noticed. I muttered something about being blind and started to walk to Life Skills... at which point he registered that I was there. He shouted out my name and caught up to me, and he walked with me partway to Life Skills, until we ran into various people (Tara and Ashley) and started talking to them... so he had to go to math, and I went to Life Skills really happily. In Life Skills, we got our finals back... and I got 42 questions right on it! It was really awesome. After Life Skills, I went to my locker and got out my towel, and started carrying it around... and Stine, Laura, and I went to go stalk *coughcough* and wave at his math class. I chose not to wave... instead, I stuck my towel in the window. Stine and Laura tried to come into my French class, and Madame actually let them, since we weren't doing anything in class today... so we were just sitting there, hanging out. Madame told us she had a surprise... Shrek. In French! It was awesome, and she had just put it in when the entire class decided to go take a walk... or just randomly leave the classroom, I have no idea where they went. Stine, Laura, and I stayed and watched the movie, though. We fast forwarded to the Gingerbread Man part... whee! It sounds quite funny in French. Eventually their lunch period ended, so they left, and I was alone in the room, watching Shrek in French, since Madame had gone to go see where the class went or something. *Coughcough* eventually came up the hall, so he came in, since there was no one else in the classroom, anyway... we were just standing there, watching the movie, and then Madame and my classmates, one by one, came back and left, taking their stuff. At some point during all of this, I had put on my towel like a cape, so I was having fun... when the period ended, *coughcough* walked with me to Language (since we had to go back to homeroom to watch Apollo 13 because the picnic was rained out)... and he almost came in, but there was a teacher lady guarding the door. However, when I walked in... I found... Jakelyn! Apparently he pretended he was in our class and came in with Lane. Mr. Harris eventually came back in and was completely oblivious to his presence... but when Jakelyn's lunch period was almost over, and he nearly had to go, anyway, Mr. Harris asked us why it would be called Apollo... so Jakelyn raised his hand and told him it was the Greek god of the sun... and Mr. Harris goes, "That's right... wait, what are you doing in here?" Jakelyn had, at that point, been in there for about fifteen or twenty minutes... Mr. Harris told him to go back to homeroom, and he left... and when he was gone, he asked, "Is that Jake?" We all said yes... and went back to watching the movie in peace, after a good laugh. After that period, we went to our lockers again, and I went to go down the hallway *coughcough* comes out of so I could walk with him... and I walked past Mr. O'Hara, the vice principal. While wearing a towel like a cape. He saw me, and asked, "Adiya, going swimming?" (Mrs. Mangel had also asked me that earlier, actually... and how does he know my name?), and being the insane person that I am, I pulled out the Mahallah and made him read the passage about towels. He read some of it, and just gave me a look that said, "O... kay..." I was about to start cracking up, so I just walked to *coughcough*'s hallway... his class eventually got out (and Jakelyn was in it for some reason), so we started walking to their French class, and as we passed Mr. Harris' room, he asked Jake about when he was in the class earlier, like what class he was missing... so he told him that he was just skipping lunch, and Mr. Harris told him that skipping lunch was stupid, basically... but made absolutely no comment about how I was walking down the hallway with them, away from the lunchroom, during my lunch period... that was rather amoosing. Stine, Laura, and Ling were already in the French room, so we basically crashed their party... I went and got chocolate from my locker to share with everyone, and they started making candy fortresses again... 'twas quite amoosing. *Coughcough* asked to go to the math teacher when a bunch of other people did, so we all randomly left, and were walking the halls with him... we also found Lane and Ashley, who got out of lunch or something. Lane asked *coughcough* about going to the mall on Friday... and then walked away or something... and *coughcough* asked me if I wanted to go see a movie on Friday afternoon... just the two of us. I had a hard time not hyperventilating... This is a good sign. He made a move... squeeeeeeeeee! Anyway, we eventually went back to the French room, and he asked his teacher if he could go early (since I had to go back to class since my lunch period was over), and she let him, so he came into Mr. Harris' room this time, and sat where Jakelyn had sat. This time, though, when Mr. Harris came in the room, he noticed him (though it still took several minutes), and he had to go... though his next class was starting in a couple of minutes, anyway. I went out at 1.30 to get my picture taken... then went back... and the end of the day came. They told us to pack up before getting the picture, so I didn't have to go to my locker, and then Jakelyn and *coughcough* came to our lockers... and *coughcough* doesn't usually come. Wheeee! Jakelyn had found this jester hat thing in the garbage, and gave it to *coughcough*, who was wearing it... 'twas rather hysterical, it had bells and everything. We waited for a couple more people to come (though Stine and Ling were being slow or something), and Alli came... and she got a hold of my bookbag and was attempting to steer me into *coughcough*... and then she kept saying how she knew what really went on in the trunk. Rather amoosing. I was also attempting to carry my science project... I managed to get it on the bus all right, and then the people who I sit with came on the bus, and were fighting over who got to not sit with me... that makes me feel loved. I ended up sitting with the one who doesn't move out of the seat when it's my stop (they make me sit on the inside even though I get off way before them), and I had to wrestle my project out. I made it to the front of the bus without much incident, then when I got to the exit, I dropped my project, down the stairs... but luckily it stopped on the last step and I just picked it up and walked home. Mom is feeling rather sick-ish... but I think if I go put all my camp stuff downstairs and label everything, she'll let me go see a moooooovie... with *coughcough*... not that she knows I'd be going alone with him. She didn't ask, either. Puahaha. I also want to go do something on Saturday with Stine, since it's pretty much the last opportunity we have to hang out... Moomy had better let me go. 7:57:20 PMIn case you were wondering, according to this quiz, I am not edible. *Laughs insanely* I wrote "Bob" for most of the answers... [Currently listening | Disturbed - Stupify]
17 June 2003 6:29:49 AMI remembered one of my dreams again! To a slight extent, at least... I dreamed that I was talking to Lane, and she told me that she had been talking to *coughcough*, and that he told her that he had left all those anonymous messages on my answering machine asking me to go out with him (note: those don't exist, even in the dream, but somehow it didn't seem weird in the dream), and a bunch of other stuff like that. I'm really not clear on it at all, the only reason I remember it is because I woke up just after it or during it, and remember thinking, that's weird... I wonder what it means, though. Is that what I want from him? To tell me that he wants to go out with me? Or is it from all those random people *coughlauraandallicough* making random references all the time... or maybe I just want him to tell me straight out that he likes me... since the other one was brought on my prompting, and I've forgotten the exact wording, so I don't even know if he really told me, exactly. I don't know. Perhaps I'm overanalyzing again... but I should probably go read over my study guide for the Life Skills final, which is in a little over three hours... and I have to go to school, too. Convenient, eh? And hopefully I'll be able to make the Anti-Peep shirts later... I won't have any homework that I know of today. [Currently stuck in head | Seether - Pig]
3:16:54 PMWheeee... today was very funful. Language was pretty uneventful... we played Jeopardy, and occasionally it would be our turn but we weren't really paying attention... but we got the answers right anyway, so didn't really care. During Social Studies, we were supposed to be talking about gun control, and somehow got on the topic of air conditioning. I have no idea. Really. We had our final in Life Skills, and it was pretty easy. I probably got a couple questions wrong, since random guessing is fun, but it wasn't anything I could have studied for. We had French in Mr. Harris' room today, since we were supposed to be skipping gym and Mrs. Hagany needs her room back during our gym period. I didn't get to walk by *coughcough*'s math class, so was all withdrawal-ish... Laura and Joe, at separate times, tried to get in the French party, but Madame kicked them out... I think she would have let them stay if it was her room, though, and not Mr. Harris'... or at least that was her excuse. I had also been handing out my camp address today... to Lane, Priyanka, and Tara... when I was in Mr. Harris' room during French, I noticed the piece of paper with the address... on his desk. That was... mildly disturbing? I assumed Priyanka had lost hers, and am hoping that someone just randomly put it on his desk when they saw it on the floor or something, since it was under the tissue box. However, when I told Becca about it later, she thought he was going to send me letters or something... that would be disturbing. For some odd reason, my entire French class (except for Melissa and me) decided to go to gym when the French period was over... and Madame made us leave, too, since it was silly to just have two people. To protest (and since I'm not wearing sneakers anyway), I just put on my CD player and listened to Seether really loudly.... it was quite enjoyable. Jackie had her iPod with her, too, so we were just spacing out. After gym, we went back to our lockers, and Jess accidentally closed my locker, and I randomly make a noise that was scream-like... I have no idea why. I think my nerves were really on-edge since I was waiting to see if *coughcough* had walked by yet... so yeah. He finally walked by, and Lane and I decided to attend French with him, despite Becca actually being there and begging us to come to lunch... and he was telling us to come to French with him. We started walking to the class, and I went in (and the teacher didn't even notice me today), but Lane just went to the doorway and left. I stayed for the whole period again... 'twas funfun. I ended up getting out a little early, and ran into Emily and Samantha in the hallway, since they were selling tickets for something. We all went to math a little early, and ended up helping Mrs. Mangel carry some textbooks to the storage room... so about four or five of us were in there, and someone reaches in from outside and shuts the light off. It was kind of funny, since none of us really knew where the switch was, since I've never been in the storage room before... but we eventually got the light on and managed to take our final without incident. It was insanely easy, and I randomly double-checked everything and redid every single problem, and still managed to finish about twenty-five minutes before the period ended. At dismissal, I ran into *coughcough* again, and he, Laura, and I were talking... and we decided, since we no longer have any homework, let's hang out! So we decided to call each other and such... it was funfun. And when I was walking off the bus, *coguhcough* said, really quietly, "I'll call you later," I was all excited-ful... he's never called me before. And it also means he knows my number. He just called, and Mom told me we couldn't hang out today, since we're "busy"... she wants to attempt to get my passport renewed again. She said tomorrow was fine, but he has a piano lesson tomorrow, and Thursday is good for him, but I have Dad's house... which leaves the all-forbidden Friday. I'm going to attempt to be really, really good and pack for camp and everything, then ask Mom if I can go out on Friday night... or on Friday afternoon to his house or something. And tonight is the mysterious awards ceremony... I'll see what else they feel like giving me. [Currently listening | Godsmack - Now or Never]
9:58:08 PMWhee, the awards ceremony was awesome... when I got there, Stine waved to me, so I walked over to her, and then *coughcough* waved at me, so Stine came with me to sit with him. That was all... wheeeee! And then when they were calling the awards, mine were all at the end, so I kept joking about how they just invited me by accident and I wasn't really getting an award... I ended up getting a thing for Social Studies, and a "Scholarship Award"... presented by the Soccer Club. Errr... yeah. Afterwards, we were being really hyper, and kept asking our parents if we could go to Milliways (The Restaurant at the End of the Universe!)... and they just looked at us like we had two heads. (Hey, I'm Zaphod! ... anyway...) We were then randomly frolicking around the hallways (this is Stine, Lane, *coughcough*, and me), and we randomly went to our lockers... and I randomly [you know, on proofreading, I'm using the word "randomly" way too much...] told *coughcough* my combination. He memorized it. My combination is actually pretty cool because it ends in 42... whee! He then told me his combo, and Stine told me hers, but I forgot it. Oh, well... I know some of the numbers, but conveniently forgot the rest of them. We were there for quite a few minutes, and when w finally walked back, we were the only people there. The vice principal was there too... and he told us that since we liked school so much, we could stay after for a week... and we delightfully agreed. He told us we could also stay next year, so I asked if we could get free tuition... We got outside, and were talking about random stuff... and *coughcough* told me his sister's camp visiting day is the same day as mine, so he can't visit me... but he did say that he'd rather visit me than her. I told him to insist I was his sister. Puahaha... but yeah. I started walking to his car with him, but Mom made me go home. Oh, well. We'll hang out... eventually... I... like... pi... Yeah, I was writing that all over my assignment pad today while spacing out during gym. [Currently listening | Incubus - Summer Romance (Anti-Gravity Love Song)]
16 June 2003 10:57:32 PMDude, today was another awesome day. On the bus, I was listening to Disclaimer, and found that a lot of the songs actually can sort of apply to my life somewhat. 'Twas funfun... and I stared at *coughcough* less abashedly, since he knows now... wheee! On the announcements this morning came the return of Inga, who is some (male) teacher wearing a blonde wig with braided pigtails threatening to beat the students at a student/faculty sports game... it's very amoosing. In Language, we had a sub (again... I think Mr. Harris has some sort of conspiracy going on), and we read a poem about Johnny Appleseed... and Brian goes, "Was Johnny Appleseed a pothead?" And he was... because he wore a pot on his head! I was collapsing in giggles for no reason for several minutes after that. Life Skiils wasn't eventful, except Jen asked me if i was an Orthodox Jew... err... yeah. Before French, Stine, Laura, and I went to go look in *coughcough*'s math class as usual, but because they were all taking a final, we didn't wave or anything. Speaking of the final, it was insanely easy. Twenty questions today, twenty more tomorrow. I think I got at least one wrong, based on the fact that everyone got lots of answers in a row and I got them except one off. In French, we got our finals back, and I got a 97... which is one question wrong, since there were 33 questions. It was the question with beer as the answer... and the only reason I didn't put beer as the answer was because I figured they couldn't possibly have beer as a correct answer... what happened to all those D.A.R.E. lessons? But yeah, so I had a feeling that I got that one wrong, anyway. The end of the period was awesome, though. Jake, Arina, and *coughcough* all started randomly waving at me through the window five or ten minutes before the period ended, so Madame asked me who I was waving at. I told her "my friends", so she said, "Why don't they just come in?" since we weren't doing anything in class and I was being kind of disruptive... so they all came in. It was pretty hysterical... so they hung out in there for a few minutes until class ended, then decided to randomly walk me to my next class (which was Mr. Guigno today). Arina started talking to me about abortion in the hallway, and she asked me for my views on it. I told her I don't really have an opinion, which is true, and so she started telling me how I'd really want it if I got pregnant when under 18... and then said something to the effect of how that would never happen. It was pretty funny, especially because I was walking next to *coughcough*... We got to Mr. Guigno's room, and he was standing in the doorway, watching people come in. Jakelyn decided to try his luck and just try walking in... so when he was right next to Mr. Guigno, right in the doorway, Mr. Guigno said, "Excuse me?" So they all just had to leave... I said bye to them, and they went and wandered the halls for the rest of their lunch period. Mr. Guigno also happened to give our class a lecture on "disbehavior" that period... I wonder if my, err, "friends" had anything to do with it... Before lunch, I was waiting for Jackie to call her mom, but I was waiting outside the office instead of inside because I didn't want to miss *coughcough* when he walked by... so I saw Ling walking down the hallway from the other direction and was waiting for her to get closer to me so I could talk to her, and also was staring deeply into the office, trying to see where Jackie was, and then randomly turned around because I heard a noise or something... and found *coughcough* leaning against the wall next to me/behind me, smiling. It was a little disconcerting... I started talking, and we started walking down the hall, and a couple seconds later, Jackie caught up with us, and I apologized for leaving the office without her... and she asked me if I would be going to lunch, and I said yes, and continued to walk to French with *coughcough*... and today, when I got to the French room, the teacher let me in. And I stayed. Dude, it was awesome... not only did I get to spend a half-hour with *coughcough*, I also know a lot of the people in the class and we were just randomly talking, and the class is really unruly anyway, so having me there probably calmed them down, if anything. They also got the grades for their French finals... and *coughcough* got a 98. Neither of us can figure out how that's possible, since we thought the questions were worth 3 points each... but, uh, yeah. Chess club was awesomeful. I had convinced *coughcough* to stay for it while I was in French with him, and I got to play games with a couple people... first him (though little Joe tried to play him first, but I claimed him as my slave so I got to play...), then Alli a couple times, and part of a game with Edi... and Alli was kind of mad at people, but I think I was pretty good with her, and we had normal conversations. I handed out my camp address to a lot of people, but probably still forgot some. When we were waiting outside to get picked up, it was funfun... *coughcough* was lying on the sidewalk, pretending to be dead, and little Joe pulled up his shirt at him (note: he'd been during this for the entire hour of chess club... ugh.), and he saw, so he rolled over and pretended to really be dead out of disgust. I was all fake-worried, and started shouting that he was dead, and Laura suggested I give him mouth-to-mouth... it was hysterical. I ended up driving lots of people home... it was pretty funny. Laura, *coughcough*, and I were in the trunk, for concert's sake, and Alli and Edi were in the backseat. None of us knew where Edi lived, so we ended up driving back and forth a few times... When just Alli, *coughcough*, and I were left in the car, *coughcough* discovered that plastic sheet thing that you can roll over the top of the trunk to hide the stuff that's in there (I'm talking about SUVs/station wagons here), so he pulled it over us and I secured it... so Alli asked us what we were doing under there. I assured her that we weren't doing anything, but was cracking up... and then Mom caught on, and she asked us what we were doing, too... so I took the thing off. We were then kind of talking about stuff, and I hinted to Alli that he knew that I liked him, but she wasn't really catching my drift, so I told her that I'd tell her later, and *coughcough* told me that I could just tell her now, he didn't mind... so then I told them that I wouldn't, because I didn't want Mom to hear. So Mom goes, "What's that you don't want me to hear? Tell me!" ... but I kind of shut up. We eventually dropped *coughcough* off, and it was Alli and me left in the car. She figured out what I was hinting at, and asked in a really quite whisper, You told him he likes you? So I nodded, and she said, Does he like you back? And I nodded. Then she asked if we were going out, and I told her I didnt know... so then she asked if I'd kissed him, and I said no, and she asked something else, and I said no, and she asked if I'd like to kiss him, and I said sort of... it must have sounded really funny from Mom's end, because all she heard was Yes... Yes... No... I don't know... No... Sort of... so yeah. Alli then told me I should have kissed him under the plastic thing. Puahaha. I went to Dad's house, and all was normal... and then I came back to Mom's house. And found that she'd bought a new car. A new car. She's unemployed. Uhhh... yeah. At least my rebate for What It Is To Burn finall came in the mail today. Whee! Tomorrow should also be a good day... we're having a really long period of French and skipping gym. How could it be bad? The only thing is, *coughcough* has to make up something during lunch, so he can't come. Maybe Laura or Stine will or something... puahaha. [Currently listening | Nirvana - Lithium]
15 June 2003 10:13:18 PMI can't help but reminisce about life. I know it's not a big change, and it's not going to high school that scares me. I have no problem with continuing my education. It's just that most of my friends are going to get separated, from each other and from me, and all of them are for at least this summer. Some are moving away, and some want to make their lives start over completely. Some are joining me in high school next year, but most are not. I don't want this. This year has probably been one of the best years of my life. I've gotten a new outlook and have gotten comfortable with who I am as a person, and I kind of like it. I used to be extremely insecure and really shy and antisocial, but have gotten over that somewhat. However, I don't know how that will change next year, in a new environment, without many of the people I've gotten really close to. I'll miss everyone so much over the summer. I know that now it doesn't seem so difficult to maintain relationships, but it really does. I've grown apart from many friends over the years when I haven't seen them for awhile, and I don't want that to happen with anyone. I've also gotten much more open with my feelings. I don't know if I like that, but that's how I'm going at the moment. I think that one day I'll just blow up at something, and I'm afraid of that moment. There's a lot of pent up anger and sadness, at others, but mostly at myself, under my armor somewhere. Tomorrow I think I'll start handing out my camp address to people. [Currently listening | Godsmack - Immune]
14 June 2003 3:27:09 PM*Takes deep breath* Okay, let's start from the beginning... Thursday. I brought Steal This Album with me to listen to on the bus, and I have this weird obsession with the song Roulette... so we were about thirty seconds from school, and a song was about to end, and I thought to myself, How much do you want to bet that Roulette comes on now that I won't be able to hear the whole thing? And of course, it did. Quite annoying... but Serj, Daron, and a guitar or two are part of a recipe for pure bliss... it was also kind of funny, Tara likes the band Thursday, and it was Thursday, and she happened to be wearing a Thursday shirt... so we teased her about having shirts for each day of the week. Social Studies was rather amoosing, we talked about... mustard! It's quite poisonous, actually, when you've got the pure seed. Whee, death! Life Skills was pretty cool, I was randomly washing the cookie sheet, and Mrs. Aksman came up to me and told me how I was very individualistic in the way that I dressed, and that she admired me, and that I almost looked like I was born in the wrong century or something. I thought that was awesome, considering that she gets most of the eighth grade population as students, and sees them all as sheep or something, but thought that I was special. I thanked her, and felt rather special afterwards. Before French, Stine and I took a walk down to *coughcough*'s classroom again, and Laura was also there. This time, when they waved, *coughcough* waved back, and I was still kind of afraid to wave, so Laura dragged me in front of the window, and I tripped and fell onto the floor... so she pulled me up again, and moved my arm to make me wave at him. Wheefunness. During French, Melissa showed me all these stories she's writing about our teachers, and they're hysterically funny... she showed me Mr. Guigno's life story, and apparently as a child his nickname was Tor (his first name is Victor, in case you didn't know), so I was cracking up... and during the actual class, someone asked Madame how to conjugate -re verbs, since they forgot and the final was the next day... so she starts writing the conjugations on the board: Je prends, Tu prends,... and then she wrote "Il prends", which is incorrect, so I raised my hand and asked her, "Doesn't the il form have no ending?" and she looked at what she had just written and said, "Thank G-d for you." It really amoosed me... I guess I'm helpful to my teachers? During the second period of Social Studies, we started talking about Kayla for some reason... I don't even know how Mr. Guigno knows her, she's not in Kappa... I think maybe it's from National History Day, actually. But yeah... and then we started talking about Eskimos because apparently they're one of the few ethnic groups that kill the elderly when they get too old to contribute to society. Someone in class (I think it was Eric) said that the only store in Alaska was Hot Topic... this made me crack up silently. Before lunch, I lent Tara $2, since she didn't have any money... and she asked whether she had to pay me back. I mean, duh... it was great, though. I walked with *coughcough* to his French class, and I asked the teacher if I could come in again... and she told me I couldn't, because, in her own words, her class is "horrible"... but she sounded sorry, like she'd like it if I attended or something. I offered to discipline the class for her, but she still wouldn't let me in. Wah. But... c'est la vie, n'est-ce pas? During the actual lunch period, I randomly frolicked back from the garbage can to my seat... and people literally pointed and laughed. I cracked up, too, when I got back to my seat. However, Tara and Ashley were being really nasty to Rachel, and started calling her a poser because she wears "punk" clothing, and carries a Gucci bag or a Guess bag or something (I forgot, something with a G...), and the extreme irony in this is that Tara carries a Guess bag. I think they even carry bags of the "wrong" brand for similar reasons... they can't afford a new one or their parents won't let them get a new one or something. It got on my nerves extremely, especially because Tara is a huge poser... but yeah. Becca and I told Rachel not to listen to them. Tara was also being extremely immature... she always says how she's "stupid" or "retarded" or whatever, demeaning herself with humor, and prefers it that way. If you call her smart, she'll correct you. It's all a big joke to her... and Lane makes jokes about her having the mental capacity or the attention span of a four-year-old or something... but then Becca made some comment that was in the exact same vein, except it compared Tara to Rachel, showing Rachel in the better light... so Tara blew up. She started ticking off things on her fingers that we all "do" to her... we tell her how dumb she is, and make fun of her, and we never see her outside of school... so then she starts complaining about how she has no friends and Arina is her only real friend and how she should have been in Omega so she could be with her. She wouldn't let us get a word in edgewise to inform her of something... she asked for all of this. She never asks us to hang out with her, she wants to and asks to be called stupid... it got on my nerves really, really badly. And she wouldn't even let me talk to tell her how extremely wrong she is. She asks for things, then has a tantrum when she gets them. She's like some three-year-old and new toys... she sees it in the window, and makes Mommy buy it for her, and when she finally gets it, she goes to her playroom and smashes it to pieces. She then realizes it's broken and makes Mommy buy her a new one. Repeat ad infinitum. This is a really good way to lose friends. After school, Mom picked me up, since I had a doctor's appointment, and she was several minutes late, and I saw several of my teachers, who all greeted me pleasantly and didn't even inquire as to why I was stranded at school... but, um, that's okay? I went to the place, and it was typical doctor's visit-ish... but we ended up getting home around 4.30ish, I think... Thursday was also Mom's birthday. I still need to make her a present... and tomorrow is Father's Day... I need to make Dad a card, too. Whee, now for Friday. This isn't so bad, is it? In Social Studies, Mr. Guigno accidentally called the German city Hamburg, "Hamburger"... which made me pretty much lose repect for whatever we were discussing at that moment. He also showed us some of The Twisted Cross, and that movie is so weird... they play happy music while showing the rise of the Nazi movement and stuff... it was really messed up. I randomly decided to tell Priyanka why Barney is Satan. She was very amoosed. Before French, we continued our now-tradition of waving into *coughcough*'s math classroom... and this time, Mr. Schmidt noticed. He asked *coughcough* if he was waving at someone or if he was answering the question, so he answered the question, and then Mr. Schmidt looked out the window and saw Stine, and waved at her/invited her in... so we kind of ran out of view of the window. By this time, the entire class kind of noticed, so when we went in front of the window again, they all turned to look at us, and when we waved, a good deal of them all waved back... it was hysterically funny. Mr. Schmidt sent Jakelyn out to scare us away, but since we know him, it didn't really work... but Madame came, so I went to go take my French final. It was insanely easy, there were only thirty-three questions, of which ten were listening, (which was Madame reading us sentences and we had to say whether they were past, present, or future tense.) Did I mention it was insanely easy? I felt much better after it was over, though. Anyway, on my way to gym, I randomly decided to look inside Mr. Schmidt's room again, and *coughcough* and Jakelyn appeared to be spending their lunch period in there... I desperately stared at the window, willing *coughcough* to look up, but he didn't, so I just continued on to gym before Melissa asked what I was doing in too much detail. During gym, I was standing on the volleyball court with Becca, then randomly went to go play table tennis with Jackie, but that only lasted a few minutes, and we all went to sit down in the bleachers with most of the rest of the community. Priyanka had a binder and was writing on it, so I started writing on it, too, since we all write on her binders... it's fun. Afterwards, she told me that she had stolen Lane's binder and was wrting on it... whoops! I don't think Lane really minded, though, since Priyanka wrote much more than I did. Jackie and Lane also randomly switched shoes, and then Jackie stole the pair that was on Lane's feet... and shouted, "Melaina has no footwear!" That was amoosing. At some point, Tara complained that they were playing Good Charlotte (the gym teachers always blast random music... and also, how did she know it was Good Charlotte? But anyway...), so Priyanka said that we should go ask them to put on some good music. I was still carrying around Steal This Album with me, which happens to be one of my few clean CDs... so we go up to Mr. Arbeitman and ask him to put it on. He looks at it and says, "I'm cool with System of a Down," and put it on. Chic 'n' Stu started blasting throughtout the gym... it was awesome. A lot of the people who like good music gave me grateful looks. We went back to the bleachers, and I was stunned with our success, until the song was almost over... when it suddenly skipped to the next track (Innervision) for about five seconds, and then to the next one, and then to the next... so I looked up at the CD player-area, and noticed a large crowd of people standing around. We all decide to go up to Mr. Arbeitman and ask him what's going on... so he stops the CD, take it out, and says, "This is too heavy for me." He then mentioned he was going to put on some Pink Floyd. *Cracks up* Before lunch, I walked with *coughcough* to his French class... and I walked in and asked his teacher if I could take the final again, since I already took it, and it's fun. She then kindly (but literally) pushed me out of the room. It was hysterically funny. They also posted the list for people to sign up for groups to be in the community picnic... and Lane got signed up in Chris' group. Jackie got rather annoyed about this, and then during lunch, Tara also started yelling at her about it. I felt really horrible for Lane, she didn't mean to get into a whole big mess because of a silly little community picnic, which is supposed to be a fun event. I think they came up with some kind of solution, but I'm not sure what it is. At the end of the day, I kept shouting, "I like pi!" in the hallway... which people pretty much regard as normal. I also wrote "I like pi," on one hand, and "Moo." on the other, and was randomly showing it to people. However, none of them know that pi is *coughcough*'s new codename... puahaha. When I got home, I finally got around to cleaning the bathroom in the basement... joy. I also attempted to work on my gown some more, though I was practically pacing while waiting for *coughcough* to come, since he came at 4.00, and everyone else was scheduled to come at 8.00... he finally came, and I worked on the gown, and he watched... I learned that I have no idea how to gather, so I didn't actually finish it... came pretty durned close, though. I'll have to ask Mom for a quick lesson in gathering. Anyway, once I gave up on the gown, we went up to my room, and people were randomly talking to me on AIM, and *coughcough* and I were trying to figure out how to make hats... and Stine called, and we were randomly alluding to the Plan. She had to go, though we were still talking using AIM. *Coughcough* kept asking me what the Plan was, and finally, since I made a promise to myself to tell him when I was alone with him, and I was as alone with him as I ever would get... I told him that I like him. He said, "That's cool," ... which is what I'm told he says any time anyone mentions me. I have no idea what that means at this point... so I asked him what that meant, and told him that I thought a few people kind of asked him about it for me, but they offered to do it by themselves... so he told me that he didn't really want to tell other people, since it would be kind of weird coming from them and not from him... so I asked him what it was, exactly, in plain English... so he told me that he likes me too. SQUEE! Erm, yeah, there was this awkward silence thing afterwards, but I changed the topic to... something. I've forgotten by now... it all kind of seems like a dream. At some point, Laura called, and we were on the line with her for hours, and she asked me whether I told him... and he was on another extension of the same line, and so was listening to the entire conversation. I tried to tell her that I would tell her later, since it's kind of rude, but she persisted, so I just told her what I could without using words, and using a kind of code, "... you know, the Towel Day thing, when you came early..." We eventually randomly got the guitar, which was extremely out of tune, so we brought it downstairs to tune with the piano, with Laura still on the line. *Coughcough* is way too talented... I don't nearly deserve him. Anyway, we ate dinner/did Shabbos-ish activities around 7... and we were in the middle of eating dinner (which, admittedly, was soup...), when Joey (puahaha, he can't complain about me calling him Joey in my blog) came... really early, around 7.30. We gave him soup, too, and he kept looking for a cat to eat. Lane, Jackie, and Jakelyn all showed up from the mall together, and then Stine came, and finally Laura and Ling. We were still eating, so Mom doled out random portions of soup to everyone. We all eventually became our weird selves... I handed out towels to everyone except *coughcough* and Stine, since they remembered theirs, and at one point, we were all in the sewing room, and large groups of people really aren't allowed in there, so I told everyone to leave, except *coughcough* hid in there. When Stine realized this, she shoved me in there and closed the door. It was hysterically funny... since we didn't really do anything; what exactly can you do when there are a bunch of giggling people on the other side of the door telling you to philander? I was cracking up though... so we attempted to lock the door as a joke, but it wouldn't lock. Poo. They eventually opened the door suddenly, and Lane took a picture of the scene, which was hopefully to catch us doing... something. However, I happened to be holding my arm up in a way that looked like I was sniffing or licking it, so now Lane has this weird picture of me on her camera... then I think Laura made him move close to me and someone took a picture of us... and then everyone said, "Awwww." Simply hysterical. We all went outside (some of us by the expedient means of the window), and were wandering around my street, shouting things and having tea parties on the sidewalk and at one point, we all sat in the middle of the street and started playing Duck, Duck Goose. A car came, and we all scattered, then sat back down. Steven also came at some point while we were outside. There was also just a lot of random walking up and down the street, and *coughcough* and I walked together, talking of random things. It started raining, and I had left my towel inside, so he shared his towel with me. We both love the rain (Stine does, too), and we were talking about how it would be cool to just lie in the grass and have the rain fall. I want to do that one day. There was also cool thunder and lightning. Wheefun! Jackie was being kind of antisocial-ish, and I felt really horrible. We tried to talk to her, and I think I succeeded in making her feel a little better... at least, I hope so. We all went back inside when there was about a half-hour left, and some people started playing pool... and some people started having wars with individually wrapped candy. I was having a good old time... and then *coughcough*'s dad came and asked for him. I walked up to him and told his there was no one of that name here, and went back to the room where everyone was and continued to watch them attack each other's candy fortresses. Mom then went in another room to go look for *coughcough*... it was really funny. She figured out where he was eventually, and they made him leave. Wah. He also now knows both of his codenames... dang. We need to think of new ones. Ideas, anyone? One by one, everyone else had to go, too, and then Joey was the only one left. We randomly started making little sculptures out of (Kosher!) marshmallows and colored toothpicks, and mine looked kind of like a messed up person, and his looked like some kind of futuristic flying machine. He started making it fly... it was quite amoosing. Eventually, his ride came, too, and I was all alone. That was one of the awesomest nights ever... and I told the people who were asking me what went on with *coughcough* when I told him... and Lane told me now that we're clear on liking each other, we have to start "going out"... whatever that means. However, he did tell me that he could wait for me outside my French room, since it ends about five minutes into his lunch period, and he rarely ever goes to lunch, anyway. He also told me he had to memorize my schedule, since he figured out that I know his. Puahaha. [Currently listening | Finch - Ender]
9:34:13 PMThis is going to be a happy entry, because I don't want to think about what will be happening in a little over a week. I was talking to Lane, and... squee! Some excerpts are in order. Happiness. There's yet another awards ceremony on Tuesday, and the letter inviting you to come not only had the principal's signature, but also the two vice principals'. It seems so much more... official. Stine, Becca, *coughcough*, and other random people also got the letters, and none of us know what it's for, exactly... it's "Graduation Awards Night", I think, and that's all anyone knows. I suppose I'll find out in a couple days. [Currently listening | Earshot - This World]
12:26:19 AMWow. I'm... bursting. I need to write about Thursday and tonight... but Mom's making me go to bed. In the morning I'm going to Dad's, so I'll see what I can get done, since I really need to do my Language project... but... eeee! I told *coughcough* that I like him... *screams insanely* Must.... write... *Exercises self-control* [Currently listening | Seether - Hang On]
11 June 2003 4:59:29 PMToday = wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! In Language, random funny stuff happened.... Mr. Harris attempted to teach us Greek/Roman mythology, and some kid in the class asked, "Wasn't Perseus the guy with the Achilles heel?" Practically everyone in the class informed him... No, that was Achilles. Idiot. Quite amoosing, though. Mr. Harris was also under the impression that Hera was Hercules' mother just because she was Zeus' wife... which she most certainly was not. I went up to him after class and told him that, in a nice way... and he pretty much told me that he was basing his information on the Disney movie Hercules. Errr... that's... sad? In Social Studies, I had to present my project to the class, despite it being in an extreme state of disrepair (it kind of, erm, fell apart completely)... I did a horrible job, since I couldn't look at my board to see what was on it and summarize... but that's okay. Mr. Guigno asked me questions about it afterwards, and I knew the answers, so I think he thinks I know stuff. During Life Skills, we made the dough for more cookies... and the other people in my group had the jobs of washing and drying. It was really sad, though... the girl who was washing would dump the wet stuff on the counter, making a puddle of water. The girl who was drying would pick up the wet object, give it a perfunctory wipe, and put it back in the puddle. Come on, don't you know that water makes things wet? I ended up just getting a towel and drying things off as I put them back where they're supposed to go. Before French was awesome. Stine and I randomly took a walk since my French teacher was quite late, as usual. We walked down the Omega hallway... and were looking in *coughcough*'s classroom. It was funny, since we were standing there for several minutes, and Stine even waved really obviously, but no one noticed us. It's fun to observe them, though... I figured I should probably get back to my French class, and my teacher wasn't there yet, so I was just waiting outside. Stine then came back with Laura, who she found down the hallway, and I felt like talking to them, so we went back down the hallway, and back to *coughcough*'s classroom. Our new motto... "STALKERS UNITE!" They still didn't notice us, and this time my French teacher came, so I walked to the classroom with her. Gym was actually quite amoosing, for once. We had a choice of a friendly game of volleyball, competitive volleyball, soccer, or basketball... so we chose the friendly game of volleyball (by "we" I mean Becca and I, since neither Lane, Jackie, nor Tara were in school today). People were being rather possessive of the ball (in a completely joking manner, of course), and I kept going up to random people and reminding them that it was a friendly game of volleyball. Whee! I also kept randomly frolicking around the court... so yeah. They were playing really weird music in the background... it had this line about getting high in it... wheee! (I think it was by the Beatles, but am not completely sure.) <edit>Damn. I just looked up the lyrics, and they're saying "I can't hide," not "I get high." Oh well, it was still amoosing...</edit> Before lunch was also really awesome. Becca went to lunch without me, and I didn't even see her leave, so I was really confoosed and wandering our hallway in case she hadn't left yet... but didn't find her. However, I did see random people I knew... Ling came down the hallway, so I started walking with her to Technology (which conveniently is the class that *coughcough* comes out of then...), and he started coming down the hallway from the other direction, so I started walking with him (note: I was really early for lunch, and really didn't want to wait in the mob outside the cafeteria, anyway). I started walking with him to his French class... and this time, his teacher was waiting in the doorway, so I asked her if I could join the class, and she told me to go to lunch... we persisted, though. He vouched that I was a good student, and I told her that I take French, and I like it. She started asking me things in French like what my name was and who my teacher was and such, and I answered her, so she invited me in. Wheeee! *Coughcough* seriously wanted me to stay in there, but I knew I probably shouldn't stay since Becca would think I was trying to skip lunch to get away from Rachel or something... so I left a couple of minutes later, and went back to the lunchroom without incident. Directly after school (Mom literally picked me up right at dismissal), I went to the dentist... who told me that I get my braces off at the next appointment! That's two and a half years of... well... braces, all gone. He also told me that I have some kind of weird growth in my cheek, so gave me a prescription tablet thing to get rid of it. After the dentist, we went to the passport office to get our (meaning mine and Mom's) passports renewed... and they told me that I needed a birth certificate to prove that Mom is my mom, since we have different last names. Mom then said that she never wanted our (meaning my siblings and me) last names to be the same as Dad's... she wants them either the same as hers or hyphenated. Uh... Mom? It's my name we're talking about changing here. And I like it the way it is, thank you very much. It's served me quite well for the past fourteen years. Anyway, after the passport office, we went to CVS to attempt to get the precription filled... and they told us the stuff my dentist prescribed doesn't exist. They have to call him and ask him what drugs he's taking or something... funfun. In other news, tomorrow is Mom's birthday, and I need to make her a present of some sort. I also really need to work on the basement and my gown, and I have a French project and big review packet due tomorrow that I forgot about, along with my last math homework assignment of the year. There's also a folklore test either tomorrow or the day after... Mr. Harris couldn't decide or something. Lotsa stuff to do... joy. [Currently listening | Our Lady Peace - Superman's Dead]

10 June 2003 3:39:49 PMWe had a sub in Language today... again... hm, is Mr. Harris attempting to use all his sick days at the end of the year or something? We read this play that was a dumbed-down version of a King Arthur myth about Sir Owen... and I was a guard (I had two lines), and I had a sword! Or, at least the script said I did... that was pretty cool. Knives. *Shifty eyes* In Life Skills we made chocolate chip cookies... they actually looked pretty good. Before French, I saw Stine and everyone as usual... and Joe came, and he saw my shirt, which is cool... actually, a lot of people noticed my shirt, which has the periodic table on it. Whee! Anyway, so when Joe saw my shirt, he said something to the effect of, "You're making me stare at your shirt!" 'Twas quite funny... because earlier, Becca vaguely apologized for looking at my shirt, because she likes the periodic table and memorized it awhile ago... so it was pretty funny. I laughed at Joe, and he shoved my forehead. *Sticks tongue out* Stine almost came in with me to French, but didn't in the end... oh, well. Melissa asked me if I ate the cookies from Life Skills, and I told her I hadn't, so she asked me, when we make cookies again, to save mine and give them to her. I refused. One, she has her own bleeping cookies to eat. Two, I don't claim a share of cookies, so I can't give my share to her since it doesn't exist. Three, even if I did want to take a share of cookies, why would I give them to her? What has she ever done for me, besides borrow (well, borrow and use, things like paper which she can't give back, so it's more like take) my stuff and make me do things for her and insult me? Bah. My mood lightened, though... during the second period of Language, a bunch of people all noticed my penny bracelet, and were passing it around... it was really funny, since when people see it, they assume I made it. Why do they think I'm talented? Before lunch, Becca made us go rather earlyish, so I was walking really slowly so I could see *coughcough*, and she finally caught on to the fact that that's why I walk slowly... so she asked me that, in a "you're getting your hopes up and are acting really strangely and that's a silly thing to do and he probably doesn't care about you" kind of voice... so I was slightly miffed, but didn't show it. She just began to walk normally and leave me behind, and I got to walk at my leisure... so I got to see him, obviously. He told me he liked my shirt (but didn't say anything about staring at it...), and I walked with him to his French class (completely reversing my direction in the hallway, but not really caring). I showed him the renewed sayings on my hands, since during Language, Becca wrote "CHEESE!" and "PI" on my semi-left hand, and I wrote "MOO." on my left hand. I also had showed my semi-left hand to Lane, and she wrote "yum". He was amoosed, and wrote "Sparty" on my semi-left hand below everything else, so I was in a state of ecstasy... he touched my hand! I got to his French room, and he invited me in, so I kind of half-walked in the room, and since I know half of the people in there, they all said hi to me... 'twas quite amoosing. I left, though, since it kind of tipped off the French teacher that a stranger was in their midst. So I walked back to the lunchroom alone, and found Rachel sitting at our table. Yes, the Rachel I thought we kicked out a couple months ago. It turned into a huge argument... I just tried to ignore it, since I was trying to hold on to the happiness from not even five minutes before... so I had them all sign my other hand, and pretty much communicated with people by holding up my "Moo" hand, and staring at my "Sparty" hand longingly. I'm not exactly sure how the problem was dealt with... during Social Studies, Lane, Becca, and Tara were discussing some things, since Becca's the one who invited her to the table. During Social Studies, Becca also discussed it with me, slightly. She told me that I should just straight out tell Rachel that I don't want her at the table... excuse me, when did I ever give the hint that I didn't want her there? Maybe I'm not arguing for her to stay, but I'm not arguing for her to go either. Have you ever heard of neutrality? How about... having no opinion... or wanting to keep your friends on both sides? That really got to me, but I didn't say anything, except I told her that I didn't diapprove of Rachel's presence. She also told me that [she and] Rachel could "see through" my "pondering moods" (you could practically see the quotes when she talked) and that was just proof that I didn't want her there. Well, pardon me for wanting some bleeping time for gathering my thoughts. Becca also said something about how she should have just gone to private school... well, um, maybe you shouldn't let things like lunch tables get to you. Seriously, we have six days of lunch left, and everyone is treating this like we've all been chained to Rachel for the next five years or something... the only reason it's getting to me is because it's getting to everyone else. Seriously, guys. Get over it.</rant> Going out to the bus was cool, though... I bumped into *coughcough* again, and he wants to come over early before the anti-dance... I told him he could get off the bus with me, but he said his mom thinks it's too much time spent together or something... so I have to ask Mom to tell me a time to tell him to come over. Ugh, just writing about lunch today has significantly dampened my mood. I haven't even mentioned how much Tara got on my nerves today... she thinks her arm is broken since apparently it hurts... so she went to the doctor yesterday, who informed her that there's nothing wrong with her arm. She didn't believe the doctor, so got an old Ace bandage from when she "injured" herself before and wrapped her arm in it. Normally I'd just just say, "Okay, she's a messed up hypochondriac," but what really bothered me was that she was using it as an excuse to leave classes early to go to her locker since she "can't carry anything". Erm, sure. She had no trouble doing anything today... I was talking to Priyanka during math, and we both agree on the fact that she's a really annoying hypochondriac... that's the only thing that's wrong with her. There's nothing wrong with her arm, she's not depressed, countless other things... and during lunch, she hinted at some "condition" that required her to eat, so Becca asked if it was hunger (I silently applauded)... and she said something about depression making her hungry. I was seriously ready to strangle her. [Currently listening | Red Hot Chili Peppers - On Mercury]

09 June 2003 6:20:14 AMMy life is getting rather.. busyful. I need to work on the Medival gown, clean up the basement so I can hold the anti-dance, practice piano a lot so Mom doesn't yell at me, prepare all of my stuff to pack from camp, and do random other stuff... so I think I'll cut out on posting in the mornings because I actually have a good extra half-hour of time that I usually just spend doing nothing. Hopefully I'll be able t get more stuff done, more quickly. There's a possibility of having chess club today, and if there is, I think Laura and *coughcough* are coming over afterwards, and there's also an awards ceremony for our school tonight for all of us overacheivers... so that cuts out on much of my evening. Hopefully we won't get assigneed much homework. [Currently stuck in head | Socialburn - forgot what it's called]
2:47:45 PMToday was cool, though nobody really did anything particularly funny and nothing really eventful happened... I handed out the anti-dance invitations to everyone, and most people want to come, from what I can tell. It was rather amoosing in Language, we got our vocab finals back, and I was the only person in the class to get a 100. Mr. Harris, before handing them back, just randomly announced, "Adiya got a 100," and he also has a habit of reading the number grades that the class got, in no particular order, so you can kind of get a feel of how the rest of the class did... so when he got to the 100, he said that it was mine. Again. You can tell that he's really proud of himself that someone got a 100... I found it all pretty funny. However, the most hysterical thing is that the 100 will bring my grade down, since I usually get 101s on vocab tests, but the final was only graded out of 100. Now, to skip several periods... after gym, I went around the hallways the wrong way so I could ask Mr. Schmidt whether there was chess club today (there obviously isn't), and he told me that there's a faculty meeting today, so no chess club. I continued on the way to my locker, conveniently missing *coughcough*... when I walked past his French room, he had just recently gotten in. During lunch, we had a meeting about the mock trials with Mr. Guigno... and I still haven't done any work on our case... luckily, today isn't the day we normally meet, so I told him that I left my stuff at home since I forgot there was a meeting today. He believed me... it's nice having trusting teachers, no? I still really need to get to work on that, though... in my spare time, between cleaning the basement, making my Medieval gown, practicing piano, and holding an anti-dance. Ha. Also, I think my "I like cheese," thing is getting too old. I said, "Guess what?" to a couple of people today, and they all said, "You like cheese?" Dang. I'll have to think of sometihng new and disturbing... At the end of the day, I handed out the last of the invitations, since luckily we happened to walk into *coughcough*, or fairly close, and he left the group of people he was walking with to walk with us. Whee! He and Laura still want to come over, even though there's no chess club, so I asked him to call me when he got home, since I wasn't sure if Mom wanted people to come off the bus with me or to come later in the afternoon, which is what after chess club would be. And when I asked him to call me... he informed me that he doesn't know my phone number. This makes me feel so much better... since it means that's why he's never called me. Yay! He still doesn't know my number, but that is easily remedied... and Mom isn't home, so I can't call him to tell him whether or not he can come over. However, he told me that he's going to the awards ceremony tonight, so at least I can see him then, if not earlier. *Needs Mom to come home soon* <edit>Damn. Mom just got home, and she said that if Laura and *coughcough* came home with me, they could have stayed, but she thinks I have too much stuff to do, so they can't come over now. Eeeeevil.</edit> [Currently listening | System of a Down - Jet Pilot]
6:46:21 PMAhahaha... Lane is going to Awards Night in pajamas. And *coughcough* signed onto AIM... we were having fun talking to SmarterChild, so I showed him this conversation tidbit (we were being really random): And his response... My heart was beating really erratically and my hands wouldn't stop shaking for over five minutes. He said there's a possibilty he won't go to Awards Night, though, because he has a lot of homework, though I offered to do it for him... *Throws things at science teachers* [Currently listening | The Ataris - I Won't Spend Another Night Alone]
9:09:56 PMWhee, Awards Night was quite amoosing. *Coughcough* did indeed come, so we got to talk for a few minutes... Stine didn't kidnap him, though, even though she said she would. Wah. I think I scared Mariya with my extreme hyperness, but that's okay... we were kind of passing around this hyper-A.D.D. thing between us. Jakelyn also kept randomly shaking my hand, and I wiped his germs off on the seat in front of me. Teehee. I also admitted that I have lots of trouble telling the difference between my left and right hands, so Jake told me this really easy way... *Holds up right hand and spreads out thumb* See, this is your left hand because it makes a J, and left-handers always jaywalk. *Holds up left hand and spreads out thumb* This is your semi-left hand because it makes a messed-up kind of misshapen L. See? It's easy! I got entirely too many awards (along with Stine and the rest of the overachievers)... *Counts* I got four trophies, two plaques, one medal-thingy, and six certificates... that's thirteen total. Whee for lucky numbers/omens! I offered to share with *coughcough*, since he only got one (and had to leave right after he got it, wah.) Mariya and Jake also couldn't find their parents, so they got to share Mom... now she has five kids! And Joe also needs to have a food fight with her at the anti-dance... whee! After the ceremony, Lane and I randomly went to our lockers, so I took home this binder that I've never used and these markers I've probably used once. See, we felt we had to take advantage of the fact that they didn't gate up the hallwas like they usually do... We frolicked down the hall to our lockers (:D) and were thinking of ways to vandalize/deface the school... but none of us had any permanent markers. Darn. <edit>Wow, I can't believe I forgot to mention all these random things... Stine kept poking my arm, repeatedly for several minutes, and it practically made my arm numb... and the auditorium kept smelling on-and-off like... pot! It was really strange. We were all sniffing the air, 'twas funfun. Stine and I were also discussing how wearing skirts is fun (she's wearing one today, whee!) and how short skirts are stoopid, since preps wear them and stuff... so Stine went "Cough. Cough," in reference to the skirt-wearing people... and I went, "*Coughcough*? What?" And she had to cover that... because, um *coughcough* does not wear skirts. Sorry to disappoint you and all... *Laughs evilly* Mine. All MINE! Okay, I'm slowly going insane...</edit> [Currently listening | The Used - Buried Myself Alive]
08 June 2003 5:10:23 PMWow. I had the weirdest dream/dreams... they kind of all run together in my head. I dreamed that at school, we did presentations for Social Studes which somehow involved pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, and I was annoyed because the class ended before I could say the word during the presentation. After the class, I walked out to my locker, and there was this random girl there who had a locker for some reason... because they ran out of lockers at one of the elementary schools and she had to get bussed to MEMS to use a locker... but I don't even think they have lockers at Lafayette Mills, so it was completely random. She also made random comments at the people who were in class, which for some reason were still in session even though I had locker time... actually, I think we were the only people in the hallway... and then *coughcough* came down the hallway, and he waited at my locker, and for some reason he was wearing a leather jacket with very large lapels... And at some point, which I think was before that scene, I dreamed that I had the entire phone conversation last night with him again, except I think it was slightly different somehow. It's all just kind of weird/random... I don't usually remember my dreams, so I thought I'd write this one down before I forgot it. Argh, Blogger's been down all day-ish. Eeeeevil. 07 June 2003 1:04:43 PMSquee! Laura needs to clean her room, and then I think she is coming over, except she doesn't have a ride since her dad is at work. She might end up coming around 5 or 6... but Joe and Stine and I made plans to see Finding Nemo at 6.35... so Laura decided she wants to come, even though she just saw it last night. She just went to call Joe and ask if she could come with us. Whee! I also have many excuses to call *coughcough* at the moment, I'm just afraid to call him, and I also think he's not home. Both Lane and Stine told me to call him... so I just need to think of a time when I think he'll be back. He said that today he's going shopping, which can't possibly take all day. Laura and I made tentative plans to call him when she comes over, since it's less scary when there's another person there. This might end up being a repeat of when she called us when Stine and I were at *coughcough*'s house... puahaha. [Currently listening | Our Lady Peace - Right There Behind You (Mafia)]
11:48:05 PMWow, I feel so... spontaneous. Lane randomly called me as I was finishing dinner, and she had Jackie and her little seven-year-old cousin Gianna over... so she invited me, too. Mom let me go, so I went... this was 8.30 or 8.45-ish. These people are insane, but fun. I got to go on Lane's roof! It's so cool, her window opens onto this section of the roof so it's really easy to do. They were throwing around tennis balls, but I have no skills and missed them completely... oh, well. I told them how I needed to call *coughcough*, so Lane made me call him. The first time I dialed, it rang about three times, so I wasn't expecting anyone to answer. Someone then did. I was so surprised by this that I hung up... so Lane called back. *Coughcough*'s brother answered, and just as he was giving him the phone, he turned the phone off... so Lane redialed again and gave the phone to me. *Coughcough* answered that time, but I didn't think it was him, so I was really confoosed when he started having a conversation with me... it took me several minutes to get it through my head that I was actually talking to him. That was rather embarrassing... I also forgot what was on my list of stuff to talk to him about, but he actually managed to bring most of it up in the natural course of the conversation. Whee! He asked me whether I was going to the eighth-grade dance, and I told him how I'm organizing an anti-dance. He said that his mom wanted him to go to the actual dance or something, so I told him to tell his mom that the dance is now at my house. *Eevil laughter* At some point in the conversation, Jackie whispered to me, "Can I shout, 'She likes you!'?" I told her no... but they were being really loud in general (Jackie started shouting that Gianna was raping her because she was reaching into her pockets... and the reason she was reaching into her pockets was because she stole Lane's money... long story), which confoosed *coughcough*, so I invited him to come over so he could figure out what was going on (even I wasn't really sure, and I was there...), but he couldn't. Later in the conversation, Gianna shouted, "Hang up with your lover!" *Coughcough* heard it. I just started cracking up... I asked Gianna who made her say it, and she said Jackie did. This is quite amoosing. Anyway, he eventually had to go, so I hung up... It was at this point that Lane got the random idea to go to Wendy's. We all piled into her car and her mom drove us there... they have these funny arguments. Jackie and I decided their life should definitely be a sitcom... it all sounds so... rehearsed and knowledgeable. Whee! They somehow ended up buying an extra cheeseburger, and offered it to me, so I started explaining about why it wasn't Kosher so I couldn't eat it... so Jackie dumped it in my lap. I picked it up (it was still foil-wrapped...) but pulled my sleeve over my hand so I wouldn't have to touch it. That was my first (and hopefully only) experience handling a cheeseburger. Funfun. Jackie eventually had to leave, and Tara randomly called, then came over, too. I was talking to Stine online as well, and she started this chatroom so we could play Duck, Duck, Goose. Funfunness. I was having trouble multitasking, but that's okay... eventually Tara and I had to leave, too, so we were waiting outside. I started spinning around and being all happy, since it was raining (though pretty lightly), and I was all... wheeeeeeee! Also, on the Medieval gown front: I sewed most of the pieces together, but the shoulders look really weird, so I'm having Mom help me fix them tomorrow... and tomorrow I also have to do a bunch of homework and Mom wants me to start packing for camp or something... joy. [Currently listening | Nine Inch Nails - Hurt]
11:59:51 PMOh, and Laura didn't end up coming over... we were discussing seeing Finding Nemo, so she called Joe and was talking to him... and they decided to see some other movie, I think it's The Italian Job. Laura wanted Stine and me to come, too, but I talked to Joe about it and he seemed to want to see Finding Nemo with us more... so I think we have tentative plans to see it tomorrow. I'm really not sure what's going on at the moment, though. By the time Laura cleaned her room and was able to actually go, it was too late to actually come to my house, but she still wants to come home with me either on Monday, if there's chess club, or on Friday before the anti-dance, to just stay longer (and she also got the idea to make a website about the Mahallah... puahaha.) We also made a pretense for the anti-dance... Mom happened to randomly mention that she would get subs or something for people to eat, so I was talking to Stine on the phone... and realized... sandwiches! Now the anti-dance is also a celebration of the sandwiches' marriages to each other, and then we can go philander with each others' sandwiches! Wheee! We made a list of people and such that we want to invite, and now I just have to decide at what time they should come/go. Anybody know typical curfews of our peer types? [Currently listening | The Used - A Box Full of Sharp Objects]
06 June 2003 6:23:04 AMWhat the cheese? I read random LiveJournals of people I don't know, and I've never talked to them or anything. Today I was randomly going through them, and noticed that several people use the term "less than three." I know, they don't use hyphens, but still! That's not a very common phrase to use... and it's mine! All MINE! *Diabolical laughter* All right, I need to calm down... I just found that really strange. Especially since when I use it, most people don't really get it... [Currently stuck in head | Jimmy Eat World - The Authority Song]
4:01:35 PMToday... ah, today. The day started out with Priyanka asking if she could borrow my pen to write on her palm... so she wrote "Oink!" 'Twas quite funny, and I took the opportunity to refresh the "Moo!" since it keeps getting rubbed off. We took the vocab final during Language today, and he gave the entire period, which ended up being about 40 minutes after announcements and him talking to us and such... I finished it in less than ten minutes. I just kind of spaced out afterwards, which was kind of boringish... During Math, Priyanka brought in this digital video camera and showed us this video she made of this puppy chasing her to her bus stop this morning. It was hysterically funny... In Life Skills, we made crepes, and there was a lot of cleaning up to do. I never eat the food there, since it's, well, not Kosher... so I started cleaning up as we finished using the pans and stuff, since there was a huge number of them, since I wasn't eating or anything. Now, there are usually four cleaning jobs, one for each person in the group, and one of our group members was absent, which meant that only two people in our kitchen were eating, so they had to eat twice as much as everyone else. The cleaning jobs are washing, drying, wiping the counters, making sure the area is clean, and those types of things, so I was washing, and since the other people were still eating, I started drying, too, since getting the counters wet annoys me. They asked me if I needed help, but I don't really mind doing it, since it gives me something to do. Mrs. Aksman saw me not eating and asked me if I was eating, and I said no, and then she noticed that the rest of my group wasn't cleaning at that moment... so she told them that they were going to get a lower grade than me since they weren't doing their jobs or something. They told her that they did do work (which wasn't completely true, but I didn't really care), and then I started wiping off the countertops, which one of them said they had done already. The reason I was wiping it off again was because it was dirty, so I don't know how hard she was really trying to clean... This gave Mrs. Aksman the idea that I was just going over their jobs again or something, so she told them their grades woun't be affected. I kind of felt bad, since I was just trying to help... but nothing bad happened, so I suppose it's all good. I also had walked to Life Skills the "wrong way" (it's about three times as long) so I could randomly look in *coughcough*'s classroom, since I was feeling stalkerish... but I was worried about being late, so I didn't actually look too hard. Before French, I saw Stine and we were talking in the hallway, and some random kid walked by and said to us, "You look so sexy," which was completely random... and random people don't usually talk to me in the hallway (though this would later be disproved: read on). Madame was rather late, so I decided to go for a walk (Melissa following me, of course) and walked to *coughcough*'s classroom again... but quickly, since Melissa would have asked me what I was doing. Afterwards was Math again, at which point I discovered... "cheese" is practically my new curse word. Priyanka's take on it: "Gosh cheese it!" That was enjoyable... Before lunch, I went to my locker, as usual, and as I was walking in the hallway, there came random stranger number two... his comment? "Nice dress." (I'm wearing a black skirt, Taproot shirt, and argyle kneesocks. My question: What dress? I didn't actually say that to the kid, though.) I was loitering in the hallway after I went to my locker so I could see *coughcough*, and he told me that he liked my bracelet, which is a bunch of pennies attached together, and he thought that I made it... in fact, a lot of people who see it think I made it. Why does the world think I'm talented? Anyway, I walked with him to his French class, and he invited me in with him. One day, I really should do it... maybe the last full day of school or something. Anyway, I was standing outside the door of his French room talking to him, and some random kid (number three!) walked by and asked me if I had any rubber bands (the kind that go in your braces) My response: "I don't know you." I actually said that... then proceeded to attempt to walk down the hallway since *coughcough* had gone in the classroom. The kid jumped in front of me and started begging me for the rubber bands... I told him I didn't have any, then walked rather quickly down to the lunchroom. When I got to the lunchroom hallway, I saw... Laura! She asked where Lane was, and I informed her that Lane wasn't attending school today, so we started walking around the hallways randomly. She wanted to see *coughcough*'s French class, and so I showed her the room, and then she wanted me to skip lunch with her and go to the media center or something, but I decided I should probably actually go to lunch, since I told *coughcough* that was the reason I didn't go to his French class (and also, half of our lunch table wasn't there for one reason or another... Jackie was taking a math test, Lane was absent, and Becca moved lunch tables to sit with Rachel, the girl who was rejected by our table). By the time I got to the lunchroom, I was extremely, extremely late, needless to say. However, none of the lunch aids said anything to me... I must look innocent or something, because I've been earlier and walking with Lane or something and gotten in trouble. It's rather strange. After lunch, we had about ten minutes of Social Studies, and then we had a speaker about Japanese internment for all the kids in With Distinction... *coughcough* is in With Distinction, as you know, and he came down the hall as our class was, then came in line with us, so I got to sit next to him! Joy/bliss. We were randomly talking, and Becca was showing the people around us her random Star Wars/LotR/X-Men paraphernalia, and I mentioned that I've never seen X-Men or X-2... and *coughcough* said he hadn't either. He then suggested that we go see it together. *Dies* He, however, is completely unavailable this weekend. Mr. Mitzak was also trying to make a point about how it was really hot in the internment camps in places like Arizona, and asked if anyone has been there in the summer. Now, my mother is insane, and she once took our family on a summer vacation to Death Valley in August (which is actually only the second- or third- hottest month... ) and it was 121 degrees there. Mr. Mitzak said something about it being 106 degrees, and I said, "Ha! One twenty-one!" but only the people sitting next to me could hear... he then said how some city was 122 degrees. Both *coughcough* and I said, "Darn!" It was funfun. Towards the beginning of the speaker, they pulled out the kids in contention for reading their graduation speeches, and told them who "won", so to speak... and Stine's did! Wheeeeee! Neither Ling's nor *coughcough*'s did, though. At the end of the day, *coughcough* came to our group of lockers and walked out with us, and I attempted to wait for Stine, but they left too quickly. Cheese. Rather annoyingly, all day, Tara was singing Sugarcult - Bouncing off the Walls, which then got stuck in my head. For several hours. I'll live, though... and Laura is supposed to come over tomorrow, I think... she's supposed to call me about it. We also had the idea that *coughcough* and Laura can come over to my house after chess club, but I forgot to ask the teacher in charge of it if there's a meeting this Monday... so I'll have to assume there is, since he never said there wasn't. I'll have to ask him on Monday and call Mom. Bah. I also need to start working on my Medieval gown and perhaps organize some sort of anti-dance, or just ask other people what they're doing. It's a week from today... joy. <edit>Oh, and for those curious, the word "deleterious" on those sheets they handed out during the speaker was not a typo. It means "harmful often in a subtle or unexpected way," at least according to Merriam-Webster OnLine.</edit> [Currently listening | Breaking Benjamin - Medicate]

7:25:21 PMOoh, and I forgot to mention: Mom got the "unofficial" news today that she passed the patent bar! Wheee! Perhaps she'll be able to get a job now... *Celebration dances* Oh, and my brother left today to drive down to Florida with a bunch of his friends. This shall have an interesting outcome... 9:05:07 PMDuuuuuuuuuuuuuude! I just found out over dinner that we own a blow torch! Mom made a a cheesecake, and she used it to burn the top slightly (it's meringue, so yeah...) I asked her if I could use it to burn the house down, and she said that she'd make a house out of Popsicle sticks and I could burn that instead. My sister told her that she was teaching the wrong types of lessons to a fourteen-year-old. *Eevil laughter* However, I made Mom tell me where she keeps it. It's on the bottom shelf of the barbecue... *gets out flashlight* [Currently listening | Serart - Black Melon]
05 June 2003 7:01:35 AMThe main reason I hate colds is that they have this habit of waking you up in the middle of the night because you can't breathe. Cold, dear, I'm rather sleep-deprived. Was it not cruel to wake me up at 2.45 AM? In other news, today is to be the last day we change in gym, I believe. That means the end of the year is looming ominously close. I don't want this year to end. Too many things have happened, too many issues left unresolved. And I can't just patch it up next year since we're all scattering like leaves to the wind for high school. I can't even try to do something over the summer because I'll be at stoopid sleepaway camp starting the day after school ends (and coming back mid-August, at which point I'll have to work feverishly on my MedSci homework). It's actually supposed to start the day before school ends, but Mom has enough good sense to let me at least attend school. Unfortunately, in all other matters, she has no common sense, no sense of decency, no patience for others, and will not compromise. [Currently stuck in head | Our Lady Peace - Right There Behind You (Mafia)]
4:53:40 PMToday we had a sub in language yet again, and Lane, who usually sits behind me, moved to sit next to Tara. That made me feel really loved... it also meant a slight seat change in the people who sit behind me, they just shifted over a couple seats, and this kid Josh (who had moved around, since iI don't think he normally sits in the seat he was in...) told me, "Mike likes you." I practically started cracking up, mainly because I cannot stand that person (and I knew Josh was kidding, puahaha). See, once I was walking in the halls of school after OM with *coughcough* (this was many moons ago...), and I guess Mike was there for basketball or something, so he saw me in the hall, and asked me to hug him. I refused, and attempted to walk past him. He held his arms out in a hug-position, and I had to duck far to the side to get out of the way. This event has left me scarred for life... Anyway, during Social Studies, we went to the Social Studies fair, and my mother and grandmother came. They were the only parental-types there... but, um, that's okay... err, yeah. Laura's Social Studies class was there, too, so I got to talk to her for a few minutes. I was explaining my project to her, and we had just taken a short break so she could show me the X-Men characters that she drew... it was at this point that Mr. Williams (principal) chose to walk by and see what we were doing. I quickly said, "So, back to my project..." and he just walked away. That was, erm, close? On my way out, Stine's class walked in, and she told us this awesome news... she might not be moving so soon! That raised my spirits considerably. James' project also had the title, "In Case of Regime Change, Break Glass," and I asked him if he knew he was paraphrasing Taproot. He said something to the efect of, "What's Taproot?" I told him to go listen to them... whee! (In case you don't get it, it's paraphrasing from Poem: "In case of fire/break the glass and move on into your own...") Life Skills was uninteresting, we took a random quiz on fats and grains, which was open notes. And it was twenty questions long. Seriously, how easy is it humanly possible to make these? I bet now I failed or something... but yeah. On the way to French, I saw Stine as usual, and then Lane and Jackie came by, and Jackie was randomly carrying a camera. They were walking down the Omega hallway, and I know what class *coughcough* is in that period, so I started walking with them. Unfortunately, both Melissa following me and the fact that Madame was coming down the hallway made me turn around about halfway there. Darn. Also, at some point during the day, I refreshed the "Moo!" on my palm... so I kept randomly showing my hand to people, who still tried to give me high-fives. Before lunch, I saw *coughcough* (Whee!) and showed him the "Moo!" He was amoosed, and I don't think he tried to high-five me. Yay for people with a modicum of intelligence! I told him how it kept getting rubbed off (in Life Skills, I was washing the dishes, and during gym, part of the exclamation point rubbed off, and other stuff), and he offered my his pen so I could fix it! I had already fixed it though, so I politely refused his offer. I was talking to him, and walked to his French class with him (whee!) but didn't actually go in... then, when I got back to the lunchroom, Jackie and Lane were talking to Laura, and I said hi to them... I went inside, and Becca was there. She wrote "Cheese!" on my other palm, so I was very happy. I kept randomly showing my hands to people and saying, "Moo! Cheese!" I also kept randomly cracking up for no reason, so Jackie told me I was slightly insane. I said, "Only slightly?" and she replied with, "Okay, fully." Also, on my way back from the garbage can, someone (I think it was the same person who told me about my nose...) said, "What the f*ck did you do to your face?" I was quite amoosed, and started cracking up after I got back to my seat. I'm also wearing my hair in plaits today (not braided pigtails, plaits), and Ashley who sits at our lunch table told me I looked Indian or something. I later told Ling this, and she was quite amoosed. During Math, Tara actually understood the lesson, and I started doing the celebration dance during class. It was fun. I showed my "Moo!" and "Cheese!" palms to random people towards the end of class, and Bobby started randomly holding up one of his (blank) palms, and said that if anyone tried to high-five him, he'd run away. I didn't see anyone try, though... but it would have been interesting to watch. When I got home, Mom told me that Grandma told her that I looked skinny or something. I swear, the old people have a conspiracy or something! I haven't told Mom about the other old people instances, either, so she couldn't have just been randomly telling it to me to confoose me. *Hides in corner* Apparently I had a doctor's appointment today, but I missed it. Now, Mom never told me that I had one, but she got mad at me because I didn't remind her that I had one or something. She then rescheduled it, and told me to write it down, so I did. She then got mad at me because apparently I wasn't supposed to be using AIM yesterday (which she conveniently forgot to tell me), and told me that I can't use it today, either. I signed off, and then she told me that I hadn't practiced piano enough. Erm, the weird piano teacher lady literally assigned me pieces that I played several years ago. How long do I really need to practice them for? However, I practiced some more for her, and here I am... [Currently listening | Socialburn - Ashes]
9:04:54 PMWhee! I must admit, separation from the computer can be a very good thing. I got the pattern for my (psuedo) Medieval gown completely done, had Mom fix it (I suck at bodices, though I [wahoo!] got the sleeve exactly right), and she also let me pick out a fabric for it. It's this awesome deepish red-butterscotch-black stuff, and though it's got a little bit of a paisley pattern (paisley, in the 1400s, pretty much only existed in India, and I'm not even sure if it was there that early), it's quite pwetty. Matching the wide stripes is going to be difficult, but Moomy will help me, since she actually has sewing skills. However, I'm going to attempt to do the actual sewing by myself. I'm a little afraid of the fabric, since it's really nice quality, and also Mom didn't make me go out and buy it, it's from our stores of old fabric from my great-grandmother's shop, so I don't really have the privelege of messing it up. *Gulp* I think tomorrow she's helping me cut it out, and over the weekend I'll be sewing at my leisure. Wonder how I'll match thread... and how it'll turn out. I also need to get some kind of fabric to use for the wide belt... and, oh cheese! I don't think the fabric matches the bit of fur I have for the neckline. I'll have to do some rethinking... bah. <edit>Oh, and I suppose I've contaminated where *coughcough* was in the sewing room last Friday... though I'm sure it's all diffused out by now. Oh, well. I have the urge to invite him over this weekend... but apparently he's going shopping or something. Anybody know how to hijack cars? Also, I've been thinking... I make most of the moves, not him. He's never called me or waited for me in the hall or anything... though he's invited me to his house and in his bus seat. Hrm. *Ponders*</edit> [Currently listening | Noise Therapy - Standing in the Dark]
04 June 2003 3:29:05 PMI was really restless all day. Really, really restless. I also felt sick-ish, and am developing some kind of cough/runny nose type thing. Blah. Some amoosing stuff happened today... I suppose the most amoosing was Priyanka bringing a very large plastic bag into school... so of course, we decide it's a body bag to put the bodies in...Lane stole it from her, and Priyanka reminded Lane that she had Lane's fork, so they couldn't really do anything about it, since they each have hostages... Priyanka then stuck the fork in her language textbook. Mr. Harris eventually noticed it, and asked, "Priyanka, why do you have a fork in your textbook?" She attempted to explain that it was her friend, but I don't think he quite understood her... During Social Studies, I told Becca about *coughcough* being my (and Stine's) slave, and she took it the wrong way. Pretty badly. Erm... no comment... I corrected her, though. I was also feeling pretty random, so I wrote "Moo!" on my palm and kept randomly sticking my hand out at people, who thought I was trying to give them high-fives... at which point they noticed the "Moo!" It was quite amoosing. Before lunch, I saw *coughcough* for about thirty seconds, but I didn't get to talk to him or anything, so am suffering slight withdrawal. I didn't get to show him the "Moo!" on my palm, either. Bah. Err... hi. Tomorrow is Thursday, so hopefully I can sit with him on the bus... I also have an excuse to call him, but I have to wait until some stuff is cleared up, and I'm not sure if I'll actually end up calling him, but it's fun to dream... Laura wasn't in school again today, and I think we still have to arrange some time for her, *coughcough*, and me to hang out, if she manages not to foil the plan again (puahaha). I also really need to get started on my Medieval gown if I'm ever going to finish it by... next Friday. Wow. That's, uh, really soon... [Currently listening | Jimmy Eat World - Get It Faster]
5:08:03 PMHow to embarrass yourself in five minutes or less, courtesy my random imagination... Ling: tell stevie. Me: haha, ok Me: when did you start calling him stevie? Ling: now Me: nice. Me: lol, i'm gonna run after him in the hall, and be like, "Stevie! STEVIE!!!!" Me: and he won't answer, since that's not his name Me: *imagines* Me: *fails* Me: *aborts attempt* Ling: NO DO IT!! Me: roflroflrofl! Ling: he'd prob turn around eventually Me: and then i'll run after *coughcough* and be like, "SPARTY!!!!!" Me: and then the teachers will start yelling at me... Me: since i'm disrupting their math class the whole time. [Currently listening | Black Sabbath - War Pigs]
6:56:03 PMI feel so fucking self-indulgent. Because I allowed myself to cry. I really hate my mother sometimes. [Update: This could all change in a few minutes... less-than-three for Ling and Lane. Though my feelings for my mother remain.] [Currently listening | Sugarcult - Hate Every Beautiful Day]
9:34:58 PM"Gah I still have to do shit for vocab." Errr... Tara? You took my vocab book. How hard is it to check the answers? Thank you, that will be all. I don't even know if I'm technically allowed to use the computer at the moment... [Currently listening | Spineshank - Negative Space]
03 June 2003 6:29:30 AMSlightly hyper... I signed on to ten screen names at once in celebration... or something... erm, yeah. I'm going to *coughcough*'s house! *Celebration dances* Mom said I have to leave at 5.00, so I'm sure I'll start raving around 5.30 or so, unless we get assigned some insane amount of homework (or Mom drags me shopping again... gah.) Um... um... hi. I'm going to completely keep losing my train of thought today... [Currently stuck in head | Taproot - Smile]
6:51:14 PM*Hyperventilates* Today was quite a strange day... we had a sub in Language... and she happens to live down my street. That was quite funny... especially because quite a few people in that class live on our street... but yeah. During Social Studies, Mr. Guigno asked me something, and I thought he said something about a state and a commonwealth and how it would do, so I said, "Puerto Rico?", but he was actually talking about Emily's NHD project and how I thought it would have done in the fair. So, um, yeah, I'm, err, proud to say that I randomly said, "Puerto Rico?" in the middle of class... In Life Skills, we learned about... fat! Yes, I know that was completely random. Okay, kids, here's the deal: only eat monounsaturated fats, and only when necessary. Or something. Err... hi. I'm having a bit of trouble with my attention span at the moment... but yeah. During gym, we played soccer, and at one point the score was four to two, so the teacher announced, "Four to two!" except I thought he said "Forty-two!" ... It's an honest mistake, isn't it? Before lunch, I didn't see *coughcough*, and I went with Lane to the lunchroom so she could buy a cookie, and she bought me a cookie, too! I was very happy with my cookie, and was so absorbed in eating it that I forgot that I actually had a lunch to eat... and I only realized that I had a lunch right at the end of the lunch period. Lane also gave Jakelyn a skirt that she didn't want anymore or something, and we wanted to see if he was wearing it... so on our way from lunch to math, we go walk by his French class, and we kept walking past the door, trying to see if he was in there. He wasn't. However, *coughcough* saw me and waved. I practically squee-d. During math, I was having some trouble writing since my hands were shaking, though it wasn't very noticeable... erm, yeah. At the end of the day, I found out the Laura was absent today... I think she has some scheme to get *coughcough* and me alone together, I swear... Anyway, *coughcough* was randomly inviting people to come, and we kidnapped Stine! Luckily we had a sub bus driver, so she didn't even know there was an extra person on the bus. We asked the person who usually sits in the seat with me to leave, and she did, and the other kid who usually sits there wasn't there today. Whee! It was funny, since *coughcough*'s stop is much after mine, the girl who usually sits with me kept interrogating us about when we planned to get off the bus... it was weird. We asked if she planned on stalking *coughcough*, since she was asking quite a lot of questions about who this person was. Rather amoosing, on the whole. We got to *coughcough*'s house, wheee! We did some random stuff, but the most amoosing thing was that he had this long chain, so we shackled him and he became my Botswanan slave. I kind of dragged him around with me... He also got a towel, so we were all attacking him for it. It was hysterically funny... Laura also called, so we all picked up extensions and were talking to her, but hung up one-by-one as we did random stuff. He exhibited his bass-playing skills, and during something he was playing, he was lookng straight at me (and I was standing right in front of him). I practically died from his gaze and had to look down. *Daydreams* I also was randomly quoting Taproot - Mine ("You're mine/You'e my blessing in disguise..."), and that was funfun. I really want to learn guitar now. Now! Um, hi. Stine and I kept randomly alluding to the Plan, but we wouldn't tell *coughcough* what it was (duh), and he kept asking us and we refused to tell him anything, but kept dropping dark hints, like how it would be easier to implement if his feet were tied up, but not his hands (or was it the other way around? I forgot...). Not cracking up became fairly hard... After we left, we drove Stine home, and Mom took me to have her vote in the primary election... it's funny, she's become really friendly with the guy who works at the polls.. apparently she was friends with his daughter when they were little or something... I also asked Jakelyn about the skirt when I got home, and apparently he was wearing it until seventh period, at which point Mr. O'Hara (vice principal) made him take it off. I believe French is Omega's seventh period, so now it makes sense why he wasn't there... he also said he was in the nurse or something, so, um, I'm not asking any questions... [Currently listening | System of a Down - Highway Song]
7:06:21 PMUm, yeah, so Jackie IMs me... Jackie: how was his house? Me: *dies* Me: he was my slave! Jackie: lol Me: lol, he had this random chain Jackie: *almost chokes* Me: so i tied it on him... Jackie: omfg Me: and dragged him around with me :-D Me: lol Jackie: can you guys please go out before you start playing wild games?! Me: erm. what? Jackie: never mind Jackie: bondage [censored]... Well, more people think we should go out.... teehee. Did I mention that yesterday Lane offered to have Chris say something to *coughcough* (though I'm not sure what...) about me? I feel so... scheme-ful. In fact, Stine and I are currently discussing about how something must be done and someone must confront him. Hmmmm... [Currently stuck in head | Our Lady Peace - Everyone's a Junkie]
02 June 2003 8:10:02 PMToday was rather... action-packed? Mom drove me into school with my NHD project, since it's kind of cumbersome, so as I was was dragging it through the halls, people kept giving me either funny looks or some impressed, you-work-too-hard look. 'Twas quite amoosing. By the time I got to Mr. Guigno's room, though, it was kind of falling apart... I'll have to fix the rest of it in class tomorrow. Wonder how I'll get it to the auxiliary gym, where the Social Studies Fair is... Classes were fairly normal/boring, random fairly funny things happened, but nothing stands out at the moment... Sigma was on a field trip today, so I couldn't talk to Stine or Laura in the hallways, although on my way to French I ran into Ling, who was on her way back from the computer lab (Edi was, too, actually...). I said hi, but they were kind of with a teacher, so I couldn't really talk. Before lunch I saw *coughcough*, who told me that Laura and I can't come over Friday, but Tuesday (tomorrow!) would probably be okay. I started following him to his French class, and Jackie was walking with someone else in that direction, too. He was finally in the doorway of the room, and I was talking with him (I didn't want to go in, since they were taking a quiz that I think I'm taking on Wednesday, and I don't want to cheat/get thrown out or anything...[though he offered to let me go so I could see it... hmm, he keeps offering me ways to get out of working for my classes...]), and finally Jackie pulled on my sleeve, so I left. She apologized, saying, "Sorry to drag you away from him, but I want to go to lunch!" On our way to the lunchroom, she was planning to put her/Stine's plan in motion... I had to go back and grab *coughcough*, and she'd go find a closet and the heat controls for the building. We were crackng up pretty hard in the hallway... When I got home, I called Laura, and she said Tuesday was fine with her... then she told me to call *coughcough*, since she thinks she calls him too often and they might get the "wrong idea"... and I was rather afraid to call him, so she kept giving me these subliminal messages during the conversation... "Blah blah blah *callhim* blah blah blah..." That was fun. I finally got up the courage to call him, and had vague trouble not hyperventilating, and had a lot of trouble keeping my train of thought... but we're allowed to come off at his stop tomorrow! I need to get a note from mom, but yeah... we were just talking randomly (23 minutes and 59 seconds) and then Mom called me... to make me hang up with him... to buy a *bleeping* pair of pants. I mean, ARGH. I finally get the courage to call the guy I like, and she makes me hang up to go buy something that I don't even want. She then proceeded to make me stay at the store for hours and buy a pair of flip-flops... and then she dragged me to Wegmans to go dinner-shopping, and practically exchanged life stories with the guy selling fish. We finally got out of there, and got home about two hours later. I tried to call Laura back, since I was supposed to call her after I spoke to *coughcough* (two hours before, damnit!) to tell her if it was okay, but it was about two hours later than I was supposed to, and she's sleeping for some reason. Pretty much, I'm annoyed at Mom... However, I started drawing a pattern for the random medieval-ish-style gown I want to make (for less than two weeks from today... finishing it should be interesting), and Mom says it's fine with her. She even said that I could use some of the fabric we have in the basement, which she usually doesn't let me use because she's "going to use it to make something useful someday." Whee! [Currently listening | Seether - Sympathetic]
01 June 2003 3:25:03 PMHrm... when fixing my NHD project, I was looking for my box of pins with small heads that I bought specifically for the project, since they wouldn't distract from the information I pinned on the walls of the factory. I looked all around my room and in all of the places where I remember ever possibly having put the box of pins, but couldn't find it. I even went down into the sewing room to see if I put them in there for some reason. They're not there. This is most decidedly odd... if you see a box of pins on the loose, they're probably mine. The good news, though, is while pawing through the layers of stuff in my room, I found some old jewelry and stuff that I would actually wear, and some pretty butterfly hair combs. Not that I can actually wear hair combs, since they always fall out of my hair... but they're pretty anyway. Anyway, I think I'm actually going to finish my Life Skills project and even perhaps start my math final review. Whee! (Or not, actually.) Let's not even think about all the other stuff I need to do... [Currently listening | Goldfinger - Spokesman]
9:24:33 PMWhee, I spent three hours (literally... it was 178 minutes and some amount of seconds) on the phone with Laura... we spent a lot of time discussing random things... (err... *coughcough*... but seriously, other things, too) and she definitely thinks that he likes me. She told me more of her conversation with him on Towel Day, but I still don't know what to think. We analyzed some of the things that he said to me (the eighth grade dance thing, the fact that he brought up liking people, other random things...), and that just convinced her more. I decided one day I just need to drag up the courage to pull him into a closet (or some place of semi-privacy, and no, the closet isn't what you gutter-minded people think it's for) and either tell him that I like him or force him to tell me something... I don't know. We're both very shy people... but I know that Laura straight-out told him that I like him (so it's not as though I have anything to hide), and he has no problem hanging out with me after that... so that's a good sign, right? We were thinking about doing something mean to Tara and inviting her to a party about a half hour before it's over, in costume, though everyone would take off theirs beforehand so she'd be the only one in costume (and knowing her it would probably be something rather slutty, though half the time she just dresses like that anyway...), and then Laura would go and sit with Joe in a chair somewhere and I'd drag *coughcough* into a closet, and Tara would feel really weird (since in our fantasy-world, Alli would be there, too, so they could go rip each others' guts out and stuff). We would never actually be able to do that, but it was funny to think about. We also decided that we want to make Medieval clothing to wear on the day of the eighth grade dance, even though we probably won't end up going to the actual dance. Also, plans were made to get off at *coughcough*'s stop on this coming Friday. Laura even volunteered to bring up the subject of liking people then conveniently ask where the bathroom is or something so I can discuss it with him alone... Laura is so awesome, she has no problem doing embarrassing things for other people, and she offered to do it completely by herself. [Currently listening | Seether - Gasoline]
10:55:35 PMWe have some interesting times... Me: wanna join the scheme to get me and *coughcough* alone together? Me: teehee Stine: Dur. Jackie: ooooo yeah! Me: teehee Me: laura and stine are in it so far Me: though they're not working together Jackie: ok. first. we clean our the janitors closet in the school Stine: Invite both of us to your house house at the same time! Me: househouse! Stine: *house Jackie: house house? Jackie: and then we round you and [censored] up. Me: yeah! Me: lol Jackie: and then we shove you both in! Me: rofl!!!!!!!! Jackie: and turn of the lights... Stine: YOU STOLE MY PLAN! Jackie: and lock the door. Jackie: roflmfao Me: ROFL!!!!!!!!! Stine: *expletives* Jackie: roflmfao Me: lol, you guys can work together Stine: :PPPPPPPPP Me: *still cracking up* Jackie: and if you really want to get close we can just leave you there. Me: ahahahahahahahaha Stine: Hehehehe. Stine: *eevil grin* Jackie: but of course we would turn off all the heat so you would have to depend on each other for warmth... Me: ROFL Stine: Lol, oh boy................... Jackie: muahahahahaha! Me: that needs to be quoted somewhere, but i can't really put it on my sub... Me: darn. Jackie: hrm. how can we add to this plan? Stine: Blog. Jackie: lol Jackie: yes! blog! Me: whee, so doing that Jackie: the closet thing or the blog? Jackie: or [censored]? Me: lolololololololollololololololololl Stine: EW Jackie: roflmfao Stine: *slaps* Me: wait, why was that ew? Jackie: *cracks up* Me: *confoosed and innocent* Stine: Don't corrupt her, Jackie! Jackie: roflmfao They went on to corrupt me. *Shudders* Well, it was more like Jackie corrupting both of us... not saying any more. [Currently listening | Taproot - Now]
